Seems like everyone in this thread is either a Radiant or a spren, seeing as people are replying to just one of three running topics and usually between two people; I haven't bonded yet so my questions aren't getting answered, that's the only reason I'm mentioning it really.

What's the first Order Oath (second Ideal) for getting a well-versed Sharder to "bond with" (answer questions for) you?

I'm guessing it's "I will follow the theory threads as much as possible," or something like that.

I'm sorry!!! What question did you want answered?

I read that WoB and he still does say spren specifically, not just shardblade. Otherwise I feel he would have said shardblade, right?

The guy who asked used 'spren', Brandon started to point out Blades are dead spren and then simply used spren, too.

Here's unmistakably worded question:

QUESTION

Can a KR have a nahel bond with two sprens?

BRANDON SANDERSON

He answered me with a RAFO.

So I can't say we have confirmed multiple nahel bonds, but it's fun to speculate.

Assuming that you can have two nahel bonds, you would be pretty broken (as in 'insane' (mental) and 'overpowered' (power) ).

My unreplied theory was that a split personality Radiant could have one spren for each personality, allowing for upwards of even two. I'm now realizing that, while that removes the limitations of an unstable Radiant, it also removes the benefit of combined surges.

I didn't really have a question, @Watchcry but I was wondering whether a Lightweaver aspect could come to terms with their other personality (ies) without merging them and losing the extra bond. Perhaps all personalities could have awareness of each other but be separate enough to continue being of different orders. I also wasn't really frustrated as much as confused that a single thread would juggle two ideas at once instead of attempt to consolidate all three into a single discussion, like what usually happens.

@Aleksiel The full WoB has Brandon answering two questions and he draws a pretty clear distinction when he's answering one versus the other. When he says that the question of bonding two spren is 'also yes, but there's a harder limit on that' it's quite obvious that he's distinguishing it from bonding multiple dead Shardblades, which is easier to do. Otherwise the second half of his response would make no sense.

@Weltall Renarin and Dalinar had both nahel bond and Blade bond, so I don't read Brandon's reply as necessarily saying multiple nahel bonds are possible - he RAFO-ed that question from last year, so it remains unanswered.

I'm sorry! I don't have an answer to those inquiries. Your guess is as good as mine!

Alright then, sounds good. Hopefully I'll get to ask that at a signing or something.

@Weltall and @Aleksiel seem to have finished their discussion, so unless I'm mistaken this thread is done and will get buried under new posts soon?

Perhaps.

I'll hold to the logic that you'd still be constrained by the oaths of the other Order Spren, as the person they are bonded to is still technically you. I don't consider different personalities as separate enough when the Spiritual Realm is involved. CR maybe, but not the SR.
