You're welcome! My mind was blown when I realized this as well, because it makes sense. Especially when combined with some WoBs we have about how that shard acts.

@StrikerEZ It also goes along perfectly with Khriss' assessment in her notes of the Taldain system, "Autonomy's policy of isolationism in recent times (in direct contrast to her interference with other planets, I might add)...

Not sure really that ending did not disappoint. Though I suppose the way in which Sazed is portrayed might make those who are die hard fans of his character upset.
