Jasnah does not." - BS SO I doubt that's doable. Perhaps, killing Sadeas was the beginning of this process. Anyone remember the Tower? It seems to fall to the wayside in discussion, in World and IRL. Thousands of men cast into a death trap, completely eclipsed by the emerging threat of an Everstorm; relinquished to the annals of history with no-one left to remember their sacrifices. Except one person who sought Justice for the fallen. One person who remembered the terror and the courage of those who gave all. I can just imagine Adolin pulling a Tyrion Lannister on trial. Heartfelt, sincere, and loaded to the gills with tempered frustration. I can totally see something like this going down. I can see where you're coming from. I've been on a few other threads discussing the Oaths and quite a bit on this thread as well. It seems like a possibility. This is a good example. It discusses about the significance of oaths for different order. Adolin has not forgotten all those soldiers that died, as should be expected from any good commander and leader. Seems to be in line with Edgedancers for now.
frozndevl Posted August 19, 2017 Posted August 19, 2017 One thing that has come to mind reading this thread is that Adolin could be more likely to become a radiant now that he killed Sadeas. Before this, I'd say that Adolin was very well adjusted, and lacking the kind of cracks that are necessary for the bond to form.

Before this, I'd say that Adolin was very well adjusted, and lacking the kind of cracks that are necessary for the bond to form. I would argue Adolin was bond to crack sooner or later. He is under an insane amount of pressure and nobody can spend a lifetime never being allowed to make mistakes, being uphold to abnormally high standards without eventually breaking down. While those people look "well adjusted" to the outside eyes, they aren't. They are just coping up until they can cope no more. We have inklings Adolin is not as adjusted as it appears: he has serious relationship issues which "well adjusted" people do not get. I think his problems are symptomatic of the pressure he has always had: without his father to tell him what to do, how to behave, he is lost. Worst, having been told all his life his worth was linked to his ability to uphold an ideal, he systematically backs off of any relationship for fear of falling. I also think the behavior comes from a lack of love as a child as his parents were more devoted to Renarin (and his father to Elhokar) than to him. Therefore, while Adolin is not broken, while he has had an easy life, he does have issues. Those issues however are the one which can take time before they become a problem, years, decades, but sooner or later...
