There's an Inn at the Forests of Hell

And the hostess shall treat you well

If you spare just a sliver

Of that precious Silver

Shadows won't leave you a shell

Miles was a lawman of some renown,

A harsh man of action, with a constant frown,

Numb to all pain,

He began stealing trains,

His worship of Trell brought him down.

Rock fixed dinner with coriander,

But chulldung just made it taste blander,

The highprince did not enjoy,

That clever ploy,

What an airsick lowlander!

The Lopen, he started to glow

More spheres he needs, you know

So he regrows his arm

To his cousins' alarm

The Herdazian, he can now row

Shardblade and plate sorely sought,

For them oft duels are hard fought,

And those with the skill,

Who are willing to kill,

Can win prizes that never are bought.

There once was a hopper named Hoid,

And of all, the most he enjoyed,

Was to go to and fro,

Though why we don't know,

And leave all the cosmere annoyed.

There once was a man named rashak,

The man ate godmetal as snack,

In his chair he did spin,

To face mistborn Vin,

And told inquisitors to attack.

This is addicting! Pretty soon, I'll start to talk in limerick.... Two more:

I agree that the Stick is annoying,
And I think all us Sharders too cloying
To a dumb clump of wood,
Who told Shallan he would
Not make fire she might be enjoying.

An Idrian princess named Siri
Was sent to Hallandren to marry
Its God King – a monster.
Bluefinger, war’s sponsor,
Was the one who was actually scary.

Jealous and spiteful, he came,

To take up what the Hero should gain,

The Well's power swirled,

While he remade the world,

Rashek cemented his reign.

The dueler was called adolin

Shardblade and shardplate he did win

'til he couldn't fight back

He was under attack

But was saved by a bridgeman, Kaladin

Brandon, he laughs at our theories

He reads and finds out all our queries

But one day he'll slip

His facade we will chip

We'll learn about all of his series'

Limericks are fun to write

but sometimes they put up a fight

the rhymes don't come easy

they often sound cheesy

but in the end, it comes out alright

I don't know how to be done with these. I apologize.

"Destroy evil," the command that was made,

To an otherwise everyday blade,

Invested with Breath,

A bringer of death,

The hunger of Nightblood can't fade.

There are many who have been annoyed,

By a wanderer often called Hoid,

He's deceptively old,

And to reach his goals,

He'll cast us all into the void.

Adolin. Adolin! Adolin?

Kaladin. Kaladin? Kaladin!

Shallan! Shallan!

Shallan? Shallan!

Shadolin? Shaladin? Kadolin!

I'm on here as procrastination

For is there any better sensation?

To jump theory to theory

And asking a query

Instead of being at a work station

One final post tonight, hark!

While I write Limericks in the dark,

This content, I fear,

Has left the Cosmere,

My thread has just jumped the shark.

You can't see but so had the kandra
Spiked with pieces of souls
Penned in hobbit like holes
They housed mankind while Catacendre

What is an Ergonimist?

Well, my friend, let's just say my job is the human side of health and safety/engineering - here is a link to one of the Associations I belong to: https://www.ace-ergocanada.ca/about/about_ergonomics/ergonomics.html

Or, in Limerick form:

Oft asked, what is an ergonomist

To tell all would make such a list

Suffice it so say

That I spend all my day

Avoiding every bend and twist

Roshar had it's victory feigned,

By the Heralds escaping their pain,

The Radiants scattered,

Then Honor was shattered,

And so now the Broken One Reigns.

There lives a man named Hoid,

His presence in the cosmere books one can not avoid,

What are his goals and who are his foes?

We may never know,

At least untill the publication of Dragonsteel

But who knows if that book will ever become real?

So meanwhile we guess,

And leave Sanderson to write the rest.

Nearly every time I bore the Storm
I caught a glimpse of Honor's form.
The sacred oath-
those words I've quoth.
The Knights Radiant have been reborn!

I move the armies onto the plains
against assassin and unexpected rains
a hateful song
death won't be long
Shallan succeeds, and above Kaladin reigns!

In Urithiru regained,

Adolin's anger no longer contained,

A moment of strife,

The twist of the knife,

The traitor Sadeas, is slain

Who's opinion of Wayne is quite sour,

She creates her lists,

There once was a prince whose brother was a hero,
but all he could do was write lots of zeros.
"We're dead, we're dead",
he screamed from his head.

Redemption impossibly far,

A past foul and bloody haunts Dalinar.

I'm no beta reader,

So for news of this leader,

Oathbringer must bring in the future.

I lack poetic finesse,

And limericks bring anxiety and stress.

My attempt ended poorly,

and I left feeling sorely,

that like Kaladin my life is a mess.

You're a corrupting influence @Extesian

In the beginning was One,

Who knew all, but experienced none,

One split into many,

To experience any,

And all 'fore returning to One.
