Rasarr and Oversleep are right, Chasmfiends are too big to exist under normal circumstances, Brandon needed both Roshar's lower gravity AND symbiosis to overcome this limitation. However, I see this as a natural evolutionary limitation. I see no reason a Kandra couldn't in theory get a super-strong skeleton, sufficient muscles to move it and be the size of a Chasmfiend. It would just take a lot of toughness to stop its bones collapsing and a lot of strength to move with that much weight.

There is a limitation here though, they cannot duplicate carapace. They can presumably still use it like Kandra use hair, actually taking it and attaching it to themselves, but they can't replicate it.

I asked Brandon whether kandra could replicate parshendi carapace

Brandon Sanderson

they couldn't.

Jaller

whether or not it was to do with the same thing as hair and if that was the reason why,

Brandon Sanderson

sort of, yes.

Can a kandra duplicate a parshendi carapace?

Brandon Sanderson

No, they cannot.

Ooh, a mecha stylized like Shardplate, with Sharblades built into its gauntlets fighting one made out of detachable metallic components that can be detached and shot by a team of Coinshots, while controlled by a Zinc compounder, who uses his insanely fast mental speed to operate it.

That would be storming amazing.

Yes! Like Tony Stark meets Shardplate/blades.

I don't think it's going to happen, but I would also LOVE it if Hoid became a KR. Just the Idea of someone already hyper-powerful, who now glows and has the raw invested power of Stormlight flowing through their veins.

Hoid's a Light weaver. Or so the Coppermind says, so he might be, he might not. I'll add that to my list of questions...

He's not. His Lightweaving comes from Yolen. He had it preshattering. It's not from a spren.

A showdown between Kelsier and Kaladin which starts to get intense only to have hoid show up in the middle. Imagine the reactions all around!! It would be hysterical.

OK. Thanks!

That. Would. Be. AMAZING!!!

So, back on topic, Shallan and Adolin get married and they adopt Lift. Not gonna happen, but it would be awesome.

I like the idea but I feel that they are just too close in age and that Adolin might not be able to handle all the awesomeness.

Alternatively Melaan and Shallan meet and Melaan  becomes her bodyguard.

That's a pretty great idea. Wonder how MeLaan and Pattern would interact.

How about someone who's relatively normal (as in not Hoid or any of the other worldhoppers known so far) but can somehow use every single magic system, but only when they're not on the world it originates from. Like they can't use Aon's on Sel but can on Roshar, or can use the Metallic Arts everywhere except on Scadrial.

Huh, that's an interesting thought. I'm getting a kind of dictator-mob-gatherer kind of vibe as they could start saying they're "god" because they're magic is so different.

Elokhar and Raoden meet and compare notes on how to rule

You mean Elhokar sees a competent ruler and is humbled and asks to be taught?

Yeah lets go with that answer.

Well unless he returns and reverts back that one is a no go.

I'd also like to see a Siri and Shallan meet up.

I was thinking more someone who's a little grounded, not like the Lord Ruler, but uses the different magics to help people who would initially be unconnected with the greater Cosmere stuff (Hoid, Shards, 17th Shard) but towards the future timeline they get involved trying to save the people of the Cosmere from the events that would be happening. In a way I'm someone who is just a superhero/vigilante worldhopper going around protecting everyone and only their wit to figure out which magic to use for a certain situation, maybe even gathering their own team, like an Avengers/Justice League group, of specialized magic users of each magic system from all the worlds to combat Odium and the other evil Shards once things get serious.

@Draginon considering the rules that govern the Cosmere... The would be near impossible to achieve, much less explain.

Well this is a thread for awesome ideas, not practical ones. Heck there could be a way to simplify what I said while keeping the general idea of a vigilante going to the worlds.

Shallan, Kaladin, and Adolin work together to revive the dead spren in Adolin's Shardblade. Adolin has a rather intimate connection with his Shardblade compared to others who possess them, so perhaps he may be able to take up the oaths of the original owner. He'll need assistance from Kaladin(or rather Syl) to learn how the deaths of spren work, and Shallan to enter into Shadesmar to communicate with the dead spren in his Shardblade, but I think it's possible.
