Question

This may be a silly question, but something that could potentially be kinda cool... Would there be any effect on animals such as horses if they had Hemalurgic spikes? I don't think they would become sentient, but would there be any other effects? If it could work in some way or another what could be done with it?

You can give and take traits with hemalurgy for non-sapient beings. I'll correct you on a fact though; horses are sentient, just not sapient.

When Shallan is in Shadesmar she sees light even for animals. It seems very odd for something to exist in the cognitive realm but not the spiritual realm, so i would imagine if that is the case they would have spiritwebs and yes, hemalurgy would work.

There's been some speculation that the 'chimaeras' that attacked Wax in Shadows of Self might have been created by spiking humans with some trait stolen from an animal species.

Well, we do have a cat Inquisitor: @Kurkistan. :D

Would Hemalurgy work on animals?

Yes, it would.

Is it possible to give cats intelligence with Hemalurgy? Or transfer cat's identity to a human?

BRANDON SANDERSON

Hemalurgy can do some very, very odd things. And the endowment of intelligence is a common result of tinkering with shard-based magic.

The real question is can i use spikes to transfer, radiancy ( ?!?k,;ld) to a HAMSTER.

Flying Gravity Hamster.

Well, transferring a nahel bond is probably incredibly difficult with hemalurgy... But it is also probably possible, just difficult.

But to a hamster? In theory, that might still work... But... Right after the hamster received the bond, it would break. The nahel bond is a symbiotic relationship, and spren receive sapience from humans in the tradeoff. A hamster isn't sapient, so probably the spren would die if it bonded to a hamster.
