Just an FYI for everyone sheep is not responding in this feed but is openly chatting in the Discord chat. I do believe that this further strengthens the argument that he is deliberately ignoring this feed.

I still think we should lynch Len.  <_<  -sigh-  And the reasons, IMO, are better than those for lynching Sheep.  Just because he somehow survived innactivity filter?  All that means is he was in a PM.  Or maybe we just missed a post of his in a past cycle?  Idk.  It feels wrong.

I've gone through the thread three times and didn't see any posts from Sheep for the last two cycles.  Also, if he's active in PMs why hasn't anyone come forward saying so?  Sheep could be innocent or he could be an Elim.  But he wasn't active during the last cycle and there was no kill.  The only other player not active last cycle is Sart.

Posted (edited)

No, because he has checked the site multiple times since the vote was laid on him and he received multiple summons, he has been consistently active in Discord, and yet he persists in radio silence here.

I put a vote on him to poke him into activity. He ignored it. These are the consequences.

EDIT: Ninja'd by Alv. His points are also valid.

What exactly did you want to hear from me? I didn't vote Ripple or Rae because (as I specified then) I didn't find them suspicious at the time. If you talk to my PM-contacts (Alv is one and he knows the other), they will corroborate my story that I haven't been suspicious of either this entire game, and last cycle in particular I explicitly told my second contact that I didn't even know why Ripple and Rae were up for votes. I voted for Nathan because I'm suspicious of lurkers, but when the lynch stopped on him I thought that it was good that we weren't going to get another Jefry, and so switched to DA because he too was lurking. It was my intention at that point to stay with Alv on DA until turnover, but when more votes failed to materialize on Ripple I grew paranoid of Soothers and decided to act, since DA wasn't going to get lynched anyway except in a triple, and I didn't want that. I swapped my vote to Ripple, and you can tell how at the beginning of the cycle I was (erroneously) convinced that I had negated an elim gambit to gain a triple lynch. And while I did end with my vote on Ripple, I haven't tried to use that as leverage to prove that I'm innocent, because that was just a lucky vote.

Well, I can't say I really want to hear anything specific from you. From my point of view, what you did last Cycle looked like you were trying to save Ripple, so I'm trying to lynch you. I'm very difficult to dissuade once I really try to lynch someone. However, given Sheep still hasn't responded even though we've tried to get him to post multiple times, I'm okay with lynching him this Cycle.

Actually, all things considered, I'm worried about a Jester role.

Sheep.  I'm feeling like either he wants to die, or he's a jester.  If he wanted to die because of RL reasons, he could have just said like Aman did.  Too scary for me.

Or he has a protection role?  Idk.  Still to scary.

The Paranoia is real.

Sorry for this. Rolover is in 12 minutes, but the next cycle will not be posted for another hour and 12 minutes. My boss's boss just showed up, and I got to be actively working for the next hour. Wish me luck!

That's fine, Joe.

Mage, I've heard the term Jester a few times this game, but I'm unfamiliar with it. Could you explain it?

It's from ToS (Town of Salem), and it's basically a role that needs to get lynched to win, and then gets a kill after they die.  So, once they get themselves lynched, they get a kill from the grave, but can only kill someone who voted for them.

edit;  This explains it better than I did.  http://wiki.mafiascum.net/index.php?title=Jester

edit 2; Although personally I don't have a problem with the role.  But that site doesn't like it. :P

Hm. Well, that's worrying, I suppose, but not enough to make me risk vote manipulation. Victory before life.

What do they gain from exercising this kill?

Nothing. :P  It's basically recompense for getting a role as bad as Jester. :P

I personally don't mind the role.  It's usually obvious when someone get's it, but I've seen some players use it very well, and it can be fun to try and get someone to lynch you without being super obvious.  It's definitely interesting, and brings a new facet to the game.  Some people hate it, though.

Cycle 5: Look Ma! Three Hands!

Lor slapped the gently sleeping STINK across the face. When that produced no response, he kicked him in the chest. STINK snored peaceably. Lor scowled at the crowd of onlookers. “This guy is sleeping suspiciously ain’t he?”

A good amount of the crowd, jealous that STINK was getting a full night’s sleep while they were working their ashes off, nodded. A couple of them shrugged or shook their heads.

“Right.” Lor picked the lightweight man up, and slung him over his shoulder in a firefighter's carry. “I’mma use him as kindling, just like every other noble in town.”

The House was a real beauty. Five stories, mainly of wood. There were stone foundations throughout, but they would provide a nice skeleton after the rest of the house went. It had belonged to a Pewterarm Noble in the old days, but had been ransacked since then. Lor had directed the citizens in filling the house with burnables, soaking the foundations in wines and alcohols, and otherwise preparing it to burn brightly.

Lor tied the unconscious STINK to the front stairwell. It has the least support in the house, so the rest of the floors would collapse there first, pouring down burning material onto his corpse. Immolation and suffocation all at once, with some crushing for good measure. He scratched as his burnt face a bit, remembering when he had once been on the other side of a burning.

The damnation fool Quellion had let him burn in a house that he had found for him. The citizens had beaten him when he escaped, thinking he was an escaping noble. Hopefully, one day, Lor would see him burn as well.

A door slammed shut behind him. Lor followed the sound of it to the front door, which was now closed. Frowning, he tried the knob. It turned, but the door itself didn’t budge. It had been barricaded from the frontside. He slammed his shoulder against the door, and while it budged an inch, someone on the other side slammed it back.

“Hey!” Lor shouted. “I’m not a Noble! Let me out!”

“I know that Lor.” The voice on the other side responded. “But you killed Aurore and Quintus, so I’ll kill you.”

Lor heard what was normally the most wondrous of sounds; The crackle of a fire starting. But usually, he was on the other side.

He turned and ran from the door, desperately hoping he had missed boarding up one of the windows earlier. Every window he checked was securely boarded up. He swore, and pounded a fist against one, hoping to suddenly snap into a pewterarm, but nothing happened. Smoke began to fill the room. He coughed, and stumbled toward fresher air. This house had a basement, right?

He hurried to the kitchen, the pantry stairs lead to a wine cellar. As he took the steps, two at a time, he heard a voice call out his name. “LOR! WHERE ARE YOU?”

“I’m -cough- here!” He stumbled down the last stair, nearly falling. He was sweating in the heat now. The fire was roaring on the floors above him, and he could hear rooms collapsing. Well, adieu to STINK.

On the other end of the basement, a cloaked man, with a leashed dog was cursing and fanning his face. “Confound this heat! LOR! WHERE ARE— oh, there you are! Thank the Lord Ruler you haven’t burned up yet!”

“Aye.” Lor agreed walking over. “How do we get out of here?”

“Oh there’s a secret tunnel through one of these wine casks. My brother had it built the last house war.”

“Good for us he, wait,” Lor stopped, and took a step back. “Brother?”

“Yes, brother. A pureblood noble, like myself. You burned him alive a few months back. It’s a shame Jack told us you weren’t an allomancer. Then we could have killed you much earlier, but we had to prioritize the allomancers first. You understand of course.”

He wasn’t quite certain if he was being insulted or not, but it didn’t matter. “Then, why are you saving me?”

“Saving you?” The figure laughed. “You hear that Inquisipuppy? He thinks we’re saving him.”

“Inquisipuppy?” Lor looked at the dog, really looked at it for the first time. There were two spikes where it’s eyes should be, like the Steel Inquisitors of the Lord Ruler. The dog stood stock still, completely unperturbed by the heat or lack of vision.

“Inquisipuppy, bring me his hands please.”

Lor stumbled backwards as the dog silenty surged forward jumping at him. He raised his hands on insticnt, to guard his face, but the dog bit cleanly through one wrist instead, severing his right hand. He screamed in agony as the dog carefully picked up the bleeding hand and brought it back to the noble.

“Who’s a good girl?” he cooed. “It’s you! Yes it is! It’s You! Now, let’s get out of here and leave the bad man to his fate. Ta-ta Lor!”

Lor laid there, moaning as he bled and burned at the same time. His clothing was drenched in sweat, and smoke was beginning to fill the room. He was beginning to see things. A Malevolent figure, appearing to made from smoke himself, looking him over and chuckling.

All the light in the room went out, and Lor was gone.

Once again, I feel it's important for me to note that unless some vote manipulating happened, I definitely took my vote off of Rae. :P

Posted (edited)

Also, as happy as I am that I was right about not lynching Sheep, I also realize that my suspicions were also wrong.

edit;  Woah, I just realized how many times I said Also in this post.

Actually never mind, Magestar I'll vote either Daniyah or Rae depending on which of the two seems more suspicious to you. I think I'll drop it on Rae for now because of my vendetta, but I'd be fine putting it on Daniyah.

Edit: at the same time, though, Daniyah has been AFK from the site but viewing the forums index several times, which can be a sign of plotting in a doc. Hmm...

Ecth, once again I have to ask, what points can you bring to bear against either? I'm never a fan of voting without clearly articulated justification.

Myself, I'm looking at Sart. As others have said, his vote on Jondesu seems very like an attempt to gain trust off of an already certain lynch. When I've got a bit, I'm going to go over his activity for analysis.

Just looking at the voting habits. Keep in mind that statistically, an elim usually casts the 3rd or 4th vote on a fellow elim, and it's HIGHLY unlikely that Jondesu died without any elim votes on him, given the wide margin of victory. Rae has been under suspicion for the whole Aman thing anyway, and Daniyah is a possible elim-voting-on-Jondesu plus her activity habits have been sketchy in my book.

Sart is a wild card, though, totally going from "I trust you and I'm defending you" to "you're probably an eliminator", so who knows with him.

Edit: aren't you going to vote on Sart?
