It likes riddles, praps it does, does it?

"Very well," said Bilbo, who was anxious to agree, until he found out more about the creature, whether he was quite alone, whether he was fierce or hungry, and whether he was a friend of the goblins.

"You ask first," he said, because he had not had time to think of a riddle.

So Gollum hissed:

This game is simple. Someone asks riddle. Someone answers riddle. That person asks riddle. I'll start.

Round she is, yet looks flat as a board,

Altar of the Lupine Lords,

Jewel on black velvet, pearl in the sea,

Never changing but everturning, eternally.

The Moon, naturally. ;) My riddle is probably one most people have heard/read before, but I'm just proud of myself for being able to type it out (or at least a close-enough version of it) from memory.

First think of a person who lives in disguise,

Deals in secrets and speaks naught but lies.

Then tell me what is the last thing to mend,

The middle of middle and the end of end.

Next think of a sound that often is heard

During the search for a hard-to-find word.

Now string them together and answer me this:

What creature would you be unwilling to kiss?

@mattig89ch Time?

In marble halls as white as milk,

Lined with skin as soft as silk,

In a fountain pure and clear,

A golden apple doth appear.

No walls there are to this stronghold,

Yet thieves break in and steal the gold.

It's egg.

I don't have any riddle right now, so if anyone posts their own riddle before I do, it's fine.

A man dies and goes to heaven where everyone are naked. He sees a couple sitting under a tree, walks up to them and says "I see you must be Adam and Eve."

How did he know?

It's a tough one since I don't remember Adam's and Eve genealogy. The answer is that that man is a descendant of Adam and Eve; the situation is that they are the only couple in Heaven so far - no other couple but them has died yet.

I know that the first human to die was Abel; I don't know when Adam and Eve died and who followed.

You are getting way too complicated. The answer is much easier than that.
