So I decided to protect someone I would buddy up with just a bit, siding with El over Aman, protecting her in case I needed an alibi or needed to frame someone. Apparently Mek had told the Spectators he put at least a single member from each faction on the Senate (or at least that he planned to). I was pretty thoroughly convinced he did as well, especially after you were revealed a Duelist. The only real problem was I was getting villager vibes from Elbereth the entire time, and apparently for good reason. That and I still think it's weird for an eliminator to protect a villager; or at least, in this particular situation. You guys had (basically) already lost your Gyorn, and aside from yourself, your teammates were borderline inactive anyway. But to each their own. I actually didn't expect for any more than a single Derethi to be among the people who didn't post that night. I knew that the missing kill was because of Emily, so my plan was to narrow down that list until she could get scanned and hopefully give me a chance of receiving the results, while simultaneously killing off a few more villagers so there would be less votes for me to worry about.

Many thanks! You can easily see in the Korathi Doc that I certainly wasn't sure about you until basically the end of the game, and I certainly wasn't game to take you on head to head without solid grounds for accusation. As for the protects, eh, there was only 5 targets for me, and after you and cloud revealed I think the odds were against a kill going through if it was aimed at the senate. IMO our most effective villager was in fact an honorary one, the bane of the Derethi and a gallant flag bearer for a doomed cult. Well played again Aman.

Ahah yeah. I was getting a bit nervous about you being in that doc, if I'm honest. I was thinking about killing you N4 for a while, but the main thing staying my hand was that this was your first game in a while and that you weren't being as much of an open thorn in my side like Ecth was that night. Either way, thanks . Mailliw was really the only player I really believed was evil, though I did have my doubts, hence why I decided to push for him to be lynched rather than scanned over Seonid. Seonid was just an unfortunate bystander really. As for Sart... eh, not really a fun catch, that one. If Elbereth wasn't the last Derethi I was pretty certain at that point it was either him or Kipper, but only due to the sudden return from activity to see me recalled. There's not really any challenge in a catch like that. I'd much rather have a close game where all the eliminators are active than a landslide victory like this one (aside from Orlok there at the end, there were only, what? 2 village casualties?).

@Amanuensis it's fine, but i'm really sad. Not only did I want to be evil with you, but that was my first time being evil! (Unless you count LG 21) You guys didn't even give me a chance to be evil.

I'm actually surprised no one pointed out how on D1 I was trying to shift the lynch towards Elodin. It was pretty heartbreaking for me when you ended up posting on LG23 an hour or two after you died. Felt so guilty .

There wasn't a reason not to protect. I could make the kill and protect someone else and then use that protection to my advantage.

Well, us Cultists didn't really stand a shot. Didn't stop us from trying!  I think the Senate mechanic is a really good one. It just needs a few tweaks, because it did feel like all of the focus was on it. With the scanning and extra votes, it became almost impossible for the Cultists to win. 

It's too bad that we didn't get the results for one of the Derethi though. As I said in the Cultist and the Dead Docs, I think it would've been hilarious if we both wound up joining forces until the end!

Special thanks to Alv for stepping up and finishing the game off after Mek disappeared!
