Starting Shards: Joe (Preservation), Hael (Auotonomy), Araris (Dominion), Nyali (Cultivation), PK (Ruin), Mark IV (Survival), leift (Endowment), Quiver (Honor), Alvron (Odium), Bard (Devotion). I had asked Rae to scan Alv first but she decided to chose you instead. Don't think she ever said why in the doc so honestly she's going to have to answer that one herself.

Which doesn't answer the question of how me being Autonomy would affect you losing...

Is Autonomy another stand alone win con? I had assumed only one faction could win

I don't think it's stand alone - the village has to kill Autonomy along with Odium and the 17th Shard. But if the 17th shard gets removed from the game,  you can no longer win at that point...

Ah then you're just misinterpreting what I meant by that statement I made earlier. I meant that if I'm going to lose anyway I'd rather see more people (the Shardic Coalition) win then a smaller number :P

I guess the way I see it, the village is liable to win, unless Odium, Autonomy and the Shard collaborated.

This can't be right. When Elodin died, it said he was a Vessel, though not what shard he held. Doesn't that mean he was originally one of the starting shards?

That is indeed the case. Although, he wouldn't have been Autonomy, Survival or Odium - he still scanned villager.

I was confused by that too, but I see no reason why Rae would have lied to her team about who held Shards when the game began. I had assumed he was passed a Shard early on in the game and then he passed it again before he died, thus becoming a vessel.

I'm slightly confused how even if I am Autonomy-alligned (I'm not), how that has any bearing on your team losing...

And anyway, why even would I be your first scan? There are way more dangerous players who actually have shards... that I was your first scan seems implausible...

I, Hoid, the Wanderer, need not explain my actions to the Shardic Coalition. Hoid does as Hoid wishes, and any resulting chaos is an expected bonus.

Translation: I have no idea why I scanned Hael.

I guess that makes sense. That'd mean whomever he passed it to has the shard now, not his killer (or the last person invested in). It also means that whomever has the shard could have another shard (which couldn't be the case if it was an investee) and could be Odium/Autonomy/17th Shard. I guess it's most likely he handed it off to someone he was absolutely sure of, like Devotion?

Sorry to head of such a fascinating and productive line of discussion, but this anomaly can be laid directly at the feet of the GM. For some reason, I mixed up and had Elodin down as passing his shard. For the record, passing a shard happens before kills in the order of Actions, and so a player who passed a shard on the same round they die would show up as a vessel without a shard, exactly as Elodin did.

However, I just went back and reviewed my notes/orders in the pm to be sure, and Elodin did not pass the Shard. Elodin was a Vessel holding the Shard of Dominion

Well then, mystery solved :]

Day 5: Eyewall

Writeup to be edited in.

(TheMightyLopen) was killed. He was a Knight Radiant and Vessel holding the Shard of Honor

Honor has been Shattered!

Zephrer has been killed! He was a Mistborn

Roshar has been destroyed! All players on that world have been randomly assigned to other world PMs.

One of the people on Roshar was 17th Shard. Here's a list:

Haelbarde
leiftinspace
Zephrer
TheMightyLopen
Nyali

That just leaves Leift or Hael.

EDIT: Also, Alvron. Stop killing us :P

Strikethrough mine.

How do you know that, Nyali? Since both of those people are Shards...

Yeah, what he said. There's no way that a 17th Sharder could start off with a Shard. Right? ;)

Since the Shards in question are guaranteed good, no.

Hmm. I'm just trying to understand how they knew so many of us were on Roshar. Blowing it up roleblocked everyone there. They could have picked one at random, but we were planning stuff together there.

... if those were actually all starting Shards, then if anyone told them, the only person it could have been would be Honor's Champion, who does not automatically share the village win condition.

(EDIT: Clarified wording)
