Powers:can create steam and heat that steam to shoot plasma like a Kamehameha blast. Has a healing factor close to wolverine's. Can create tech as long as he has a base, like 'hunk of iron now its a gun!' that sort of thing.umune to heat fire lightning.so yeah heat. And heat manipulation like 'dough to bread' kind of thing. This is mostly his power-set.

Steampunk is a genre which is defined by it's cool, clockwork style, so I can absolutely see an epic deciding to define themselves in that kind of identity. ...But I'm not sure about the power set. The steam part, that makes sense (though I'm not sure if superheating it to plasma works, or is necessary. If you can create scalding hot steam, that's kind of dangerous on it's own). Presumably he'd have some sort of ehat resistance to it, to avoid... well, burning him with his own steam. ... But the healing factor, I'm less cool with. Partly because there is such flexibility with Wolverine that I have no idea how extreme you plan on making it; Old Man Logan barely shrugs off bullets, 616!Logan has regenerated from a single drop of blood. Even discounting that, though, I'm not sure if a healing factor is necessary, or really fun; unless you plan on having your guy take a lot of damage all the time, it sounds like he would just tank everything, which... doesn't sound like a lot of fun to me. (It's been a while since I read Recknoers, so not sure how a healing factor would be classified on the power scale) Same with the tech part... I'm a little confused. Do you mean he's a tinkerer, ad can build things, or is it literally a case of matter transmutation? One involves a guy scrimping and scrounging for junk to cobble together workable stuff (which might work as a high IQ, rather than a super power), while transmutation... yeah, that would be straight up super power, maybe even count as low-level reality warping, and might be a bit too big. ... Again, though, I have no idea how power scaling works. SO, probably better to wait for someone who knows what their talking about to come along. 3

This is mostly his power-set. To add on what Quiver said, having a High Epic as a first character, which the healing factor would make him, is effectively against the rules, so that's a no go. To actually ask a question, could you go into a bit more detail for the heat manipulation bit?

The heat manipulation goes like this 'matter has four states not three, solid heat it becomes liquid heat it becomes a gas heat that and it becomes plasma(a from of liquid energy like I said Kamehameha.) Plasma is also what you call the sun so he can make a mini sun, without the gravity. Also the tech I was talking about means he just needs the 'casing' and the tech just kinda fills the gaps. Also it is technological telekinesis like 'stripped computer you are now an Alienware' update on his power-set he can upgrade any tech he touches like stated above none of that technopothy stuff. So this has been 'steampunk the power and the ruler (PS he is from Greece for further information wait till next time on 'steampunk the power-set and the ruler.')

Voidus Posted October 21, 2016 Posted October 21, 2016 On the mechanics side of things: You can't exactly get plasma just by heating things up, it's not quite as simple a phase transition as the other states of matter. It would also come with it's own slew of problems, namely that steam heated to that extent would disperse so rapidly it would basically just be an explosion. 1
Blaze1616 he/him Posted October 21, 2016 Posted October 21, 2016 As a chemical engineer who spent 3 months researching with plasma , I can confirm Voidus's assessment of plasma; you'd need extreme temps and high pressure, and without the pressure you'd either lose the gas entirely to the atmosphere or it would explode like Voidus says. Plasma machines are rather complex, and the temperatures of the plasma stream are very hot. Your character would need very strong, if not complete, control over water molecules to reach the plasma state, as well as temperature immunity. That level of molecule control would be OP considering the molecule you want to control is water, ie that things that makes up most of the human body. I'd recommend keeping your molecule control down to power steam tech (I assume that's the point) which passively allows you to water bend and have control over ice, two powerful abilities in their own right. 1

He can make people into ash if he charges the heat blast long enough,about five to ten seconds should do it. He has a cool down on his plasma blast, about thirty seconds to a minute, if that is a good enough limiter. The tech side of things goes clockwork and steam, but still effective. Kind of like a rail gun. the gears spin very fast, propelling objects at very fast speeds. "This will not stand."he said. The lord/God/emporer/King/whatever other titles there are, began to prepare. "Nutro!" Called steampunk, "prepare the hilt!" His armor was being built and his takeout wasn't finished, this idiot, torching Aphrodite's bushes, would come to a quick end at his hands or a long one at her's. He decided that the quick end was more epeec(his own word for humane). He sat down on clockwork square, an interesting item of his design, that was basically a huge clock, that was square. He was finishing his takeout, when a blast of white fire engulfed him, turning his food to ash in the blink of an eye and basically liquifying the glass face of the clock. He was now, annoyed. Steampunk shot a blast of steam at the epic that instantly negated his fire, charging a heatwave, steampunk felt the air cool around him, he would see if this epic would be fried by heat other than his own. He released enough heat to grill the epic, this was ineffectual, and had a laughable affect. In fact the fire epic actually did laugh, a step to close to insult. A blast of plasma took off his leg, he looked down on surprise. "Ow." Said the epic weakly and blacked out. Steampunk was waiting for his blast to charge. His sword hilt was made from nutro material and a magnetic field kept the now released plasma blast in a sword form. (like a halo sword). A steam enhanced jump propelled him through the air. At the apex of his jump, he readied his sword for the killing blow, and begun his decent he swung the sword, the other epic's head rolled on the ground, any watching vanillas shruged and continued on their day. He has to order takeout from China and it takes a while, he loves takeout. The rosebushes are aphrodite's bushes, she loves her rosebushes, and she is steampunk's girlfriend. The citisenz are all equiped to handle the situation, by that I mean that they hide in their homes and watch from behind their near-impervious glass windows. The repair bots designed by steampunk, repair any damage done. but steampunk does not like to have hus stuff messed with.
