Random Observations R Me
I'd like to see him become one of Kaladin's lieutenants, since the POV with him implied he's one of Kal's squires. I'm curious what he'd do if he actually got his glowing powers, and if the girls will actually love it.
DreamEternal
I would like to never hear about him again unless he gains some depth beyond one-armed Herdazian jokes. Or jokes of any kind, really. But then, I also dislike Wayne and hate the Stick, so... Edited March 24, 2016 by DreamEternal
aspiring.author461
I think you give Lopen to little credit if more people in were to look at life like he does i think we'd find ourselves a lot happier with life. I relate with the way he tells jokes it's his defense mechanism against the jibes and ridicule of others. I like to believe that he represents courage and understanding, i think that should he gain a spren companion, it would be a courage spren because to wake up every day knowing that the world around you is likely to stare and look down at you is the hardest most terrifying thing in the world to do. in my eyes he is the the anti-bully in this saga.
Stormgate he/him
What if Lopen is a proto-Radiant? I realize he's probably a squire, but that probably won't keep him from bonding a spren.
aspiring.author461
in my opinion bonding a spren happens if your worthy of the bond not in conjunction with status or popular opinion
ARARITA he/him
I'd like to see Lopen stick - sorry - couldn't resist - the stick made me do it
IntentAwesome
Lopen has stuck--to a wall, a couple of times. Sorry, also couldn't resist.
hoidhunter he/him
Instead of growing his arm back...Lopen should have used the stick as a prosthetic...
ecohansen
At some point, his predictions should be realized. An actual, living woman should say to him: "Lopen, I know that you're a Herdazian who has lost limbs in the past, but I see that you can glow. You should kiss me now." Beyond that, I see him drifting a bit out of Kaladin's orbit as he shepherds his family and cousins safely through the Desolation. The Herdazian Cousins becomes an auxilliary group providing aid and shelter to Kaladin's other squires at times of need. At some point, Kaladin does something that endangers Lopen's family, a rift forms between them, and Lopen loses his squire powers. At the last minute, Kaladin's in danger, Lopen reconciles, and a herd of Herdazians comes riding to the rescue.

AerionBFII he/him
Squires are traditionally apprentices or attendants under the tutelage of Knights with potential to become one themselves. Maybe that's how it was done before in the Windrunner Order before the Recreance.
