Oudeis he/him Posted May 16, 2016 Posted May 16, 2016 Y'know what, I totally know where I got confused. The knife didn't seem able to pass through the tree on the Ire journey before they got to Scadrial, but that wasn't a misty cognitive aspect of a tree from the Physical Realm, that was a tree growing natively in the Cognitive Realm way out in "space". Considering that Hoid needed a trick to treat the ground like ground at the Perpendicularity, you're right. Actual mist walls... Kelsier would have had more trouble getting the knife to cut a wall, rather than pass through it. Mea culpa!
PeterAhlstrom he/him Posted May 17, 2016 Author Posted May 17, 2016 Yep, you've got it. No worries. 1
BeskarKomrk he/him Posted June 2, 2016 Posted June 2, 2016 Part 4, chapter 4 (Page 81 in the nook version supposedly) has the following: "As if he could harm even me" I'm not positive but it seems like "harm even" should be "even harm".
Jondesu he/him Posted June 2, 2016 Posted June 2, 2016 Part 4, chapter 4 (Page 81 in the nook version supposedly) has the following: "As if he could harm even me" I'm not positive but it seems like "harm even" should be "even harm". I think that ones intentional. Preservation couldn't harm, per his mandate, even to achieve a positive result, and that extended even to his direct and worst enemy. Hence "harm even me". jW
BeskarKomrk he/him Posted June 2, 2016 Posted June 2, 2016 Ah okay that makes sense. For some reason I just couldn't make sense of it.
gravemind Posted December 26, 2016 Posted December 26, 2016 Page 216 of the Gollancz hardback of arcanum unbounded (couldn't find a better place to post this): Quote At the other end, he saw the glow bits of metal, though he couldn't figure out what they were. Pretty sure this should be glowing instead of glow.
steve_in_finland Posted October 30, 2019 Posted October 30, 2019 New typo I spotted in the Well of Ascension. Posted to Reddit originally, but I can't post links here as a new-member. Quote "He snatched the villager as the man ran passed, then .." Obviously "passed" -> "past".
Kingsdaughter613 she/her Posted March 4, 2021 Posted March 4, 2021 So this isn’t exactly a typo, but a timeline issue. I was recently rereading WoA, and it’s mentioned several times that it’s been over a year since Kelsier’s death. Later on they pass the second anniversary of his death. But in SH Kelsier states multiple times that he spent a year in the Well, when WoA timeline would indicate that he actually spent two years there. Someone may have pointed this out already, in which case I apologize for the bother.

Possible continuity issue at the same location as this post. (MSH Part 6 Ch. 2 - line 80 in the epub editor) Quote “Yes,” Preservation said, his voice frail, tiny. “See.” Something appeared in Kelsier’s mind, a sequence of images: Inquisitors listening with heads raised toward Ruin’s voice. Vin in the creature’s shadow. A man he didn’t know sitting on a burning throne and watching Luthadel, a twisted smile on his lips. This takes place in the aftermath of Yomen's attack on the Koloss (HoA Ch 37), and he sees a vision of Penrod; but Marsh doesn't spike Penrod until HoA Ch 42. . . Passed is correct; as the adjective form of Pass (to pass) and has the definition: passed (not comparable) -That has passed beyond a certain point Past is a reference in time: "Adj.: Of a period of time: having just gone by"
