This winter is dangerous, first Lemmy joins the great gig in the sky and then David Bowie does. Keep rocking, both of you.

You see Twi, the weather is on your side! I totally did that.

Yeah, kinda makes this Monday suck considerably more than the average Monday.

If all goes according to plan, the family and I will be seeing The Force Awakens later today. Finally, the spoiler threads of the Internet will be my enemies no longer but sweet, sweet allies.

Oh no. :( We'll have to do a commemorative Labyrinth viewing in his honor here soon.

Yeah, he seemed... well, not about to die.

I already listened to The Rise and fall of Ziggy Stardust and sang with it, loud. I am still convinced that the album is about me...

Awesome :). The day is already off to a great start.

While completely unrelated, these posts exist in an odd sort of mutually opposed dichotomy.

Which in my mind links neatly into the Star Wars ring theory I've been reading.

Seriously, circular storytelling is *fascinating*.

I now participate in that most ancient and treasured of mankind's traditions: showing grandma how to unlock her computer and check her email.

I still kinda believe this is all a bad joke and that David will pop up three days from now and say, "Just joking! You all know I'm immortal!" :(

Well, that's the thing.  If he stuck around for too long, people would be on to his immortality.  They'd all want a piece; he needed to sneak off quietly.  At least he left us a good-bye album.

In all seriousness, one of my friends said it most appropriately:  "The rest of us will have to be a lot more clever and strange in order to keep up with the demand."

I, too, will be popping Labyrinth in soon.  Probably tonight.

I think it went well, but it's hard to tell. The craft and story were a big hit with the kids.

Because children can inherently tell you're awesome and thus the adults will notice as well.

Any idea how things will proceed or when you'll hear back from them?

Scope out the grocery stores and other relevant places. I already bought Bruce a coat, since even if we don't move to Algona, chances are excellent we'll be somewhere equally cold.

Sounds like an adulting trip. You're doing so good.

I have adulted quite a bit this trip.

She's seen things... things that will haunt her dreams forever... blenders...mortgages...pamphlets on various retirement plans... Ahhhhhh!

Sounds like you've adulted well. And the kids loved you which is probably the most important thing.

Out of pure curiosity, what did you end up ordering for lunch?
