Set fire to a house with the number 26, you cant eat your cake until you save everyone and put out the fire.

I find this idea unappealing because of 1) the criminal aspect of deliberate arson and 2) I'm lazy and that sounds like a lot of work. :P

You wanted to be original, you cant except originality to follow the law and be easy.

And you are saving everyone and everything anyway, you should give them some cake too.

Or just knock on their door with cake, greeting them thusly: "Come, celebrate my birthday with me! For I, in my merciful benevolence, have decided not to set fire to thine abode!"

If they refuse, you unleash a swarm of locusts into their dwelling.

Moses: The early years

This is even better, my idea was just a spin on the old tradition of setting fire on things on your death remembrance day, this is something entirely new!

Every time my phone tells me I have a new e-mail notification about comments added to the Google doc, I get excited.  There's a pile of new ones to read when I get home!  YAY BETA READERS!

(I acknowledge that I might have a problem.)

She said to the person who keeps a page open on her phone so she can compulsively check for new reviews.:P If it's a problem, then it's one i share.

Hope they're all rave reviews. :)

Hee.  Right now, it's mostly corrections (minor grammatical stuff, phrasings that are off, etc.) but a couple of them are really good about making entertaining comments about stuff that's going on in the story.  ThirdGen is particularly hilarious.  This should surprise nobody.

OK, see, now you're directly comparing me to one of my favorite authors, and I'm just not arrogant enough to be comfortable with that. :P

Hee!  I figured that's what was going on.  You blitzed through a bunch over the weekend, and then Monday rolls around and <flormp>.  Don't feel too bad.  I've got another who's only managed to get through the Prologue (as far as I can tell) so far, probably because she, y'know, has a baby occupying her time.

Mostly, I'm hoping to be done with the beta phase by the time Bands of Mourning comes out.  Because, let's face it, I cannot hope to compete with the real stuff for your time and attention.  ;)

What I meant was that even the best are slightly obsessed over things, even Jim 'Why is your hair more fabulous than mine?' Butcher.

He is also supposedly a fantastic kisser, Im slightly curious how Patrick would know that...

Links, in case anyone wanted that

The other receptionist's kids got sick last night, so I covered. All day. I've been at work for almost nine and a half hours now, and I'm not off for another three and a half.

On the upside, she's working all day Monday, so I won't have to wake up early that day.
