Oversleep
hmm, maybe add 'haze' to the list?
natc
I'm not sure that last one is a thing. I've never noticed. In fact google is telling me it's just a normal word. The second half has nothing to do with the first half as well. I also believe most of the shardworld names had already existed before the whole shebang started? The names are all Yolish. Oversleep
Yeah, 'haze' is just another word for 'mist' (as in 'hazekillers'). But it rhymes with those you listed, and maybe there is some Pattern to it...

skaa
Rayse, Braize, Mraize, skaze, raze. Is there some sort of connection or am I looking too far into this? Skaze are probably named after Skai, the guy who held the Shard of Dominion before it was Splintered.

Wait Skai is a dude? I kept thinking Aona was the guy shardholder on Sel.

Melriken
Skai: dude Aona: grill Sounds like a BBQ! (Sorry, bad joke)I am in the 'they come from the same root language and it isn't the 'normal' one everyone is speaking so they sound similar but have nothing in common really camp. DSC01
I thought Aona was a girl, too, and Skai was a dude... I don't know where I get these gender assumptions from. I also assumed Endowment and Cultivation were female (and apparently, I was right) and that Frost was, as well (which I'm pretty sure is wrong).
