Sunbird she/her Posted August 16, 2016 Posted August 16, 2016 @Oversleep STORMS, yes! Most of the time I'm listening to my own music and don't want to interrupt it for a news video. When someone tells me to do something that I JUST did and that I have never needed to be reminded about before. When the car seatbelt locks and refuses to let me lean forward and then proceeds to lock in progressively more restrictive positions so that eventually I have to unbuckle completely if I want to continue breathing. 1

Yeah, for majority of people that's the issue. Also, reading is usually faster than watching. Anyway, my problem is that I have a really bad internet connection and that I've got set monthly limits on how much I can do on the Internet. Videos are really taxing, so if I want to do youtube or download something, I usually wait to 1 am (cause 1am-7am is a much bigger limit). That's why I am online on such late hours ^^
Orlion Blight he/him Posted August 16, 2016 Posted August 16, 2016 I don't much care for the videos either. It's usually hosted by some smarmy individual that thinks they're funny and talented, and dang it! They'll share that talent with you!
Sunbird she/her Posted August 17, 2016 Posted August 17, 2016 Those clickbait "articles" that are just lists of anecdotes like "Fast food employees reveal industry secrets!" or whatever. And each story is divided into like 4 or 5 different pages, with only a few sentences on each page, so you have to click like a million times to get through the list. And because the list is oversaturated with ads, every page is super slow to load. I just wanted a bit of funny; why are you making me jump through all these hoops...

Same reason the radio has a DJ yammering about something pointless - the music is doled out sparingly. The point is to get you to see/hear ads. (Yes, Pet Peeve.)
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted August 18, 2016 Posted August 18, 2016 People who wave me over to their computers to ask for more time. Even if that weren't lazy as all get-out, extending time is something I have to do from the desk, so it really makes more sense to stand up, walk twenty feet, and ask me to extend the time. Also, the disbelieving laugh. "We don't have an ATM at the library, as we are in fact a library." *disbelieving laugh* That's not going to make us install an ATM, you know. 3

Darkness Ascendant he/him Posted August 18, 2016 Posted August 18, 2016 Sometimes, Lucid dreaming is annoying. Don't you guys just hate it when your skinning some people and they have to scream? Come on people, if your gonna die brutally, at least do it dignified 1

TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted August 18, 2016 Posted August 18, 2016 "Hm, this line at the red light looks pretty long. Five whole cars! I could wait, I suppose, but I'd rather not put off driving below the speed limit any longer than I have to. I'll just muscle my way in when the line starts moving. Just punch the gas and...there! Front of the line, where I belong! Why is that guy behind me honking? What's the finger for? Cremhole! I'll give him a condescending finger wag! That'll teach him to control his temper!"

Not skinning, exactly, but I had a rather grotesque thought for a skin-based magic thing today.

Just thought about skin literally crawling, or a piece of sentient skin peeling itself off and slithering away... 1

Sunbird she/her Posted August 19, 2016 Posted August 19, 2016 This conversation reminds me of the Calvin and Hobbes strip where Calvin's dad tells him the bedtime story about The Disembodied Hand That Strangled People. (Click to see strip.) 1
Darkness Ascendant he/him Posted August 19, 2016 Posted August 19, 2016 (edited) Sometimes, I collect the skins and turn them into works of art, i then throw away the muscles, sell the organs and keep the skeletons to add to my collection. You have no idea how much Cantonese Crime lords and Triad ringleaders pay for that stuff. But on the bright side I only take those people who won't be missed. Take my family for example @Quiver, I've read of something exactly like that, except is was a sentient second skin which the user wore to camoflage themselves, send out to scout areas or as a form of armour. On the other hand, I watched A Midsummer's Night Dream at the Sydney Opera House an hour ago, by the creative learning group, directed by James Evans. IT WAS SOOOO GOOD, the acting was superb and they made it really enjoyable and so funny, I think I nearly pissed myself laughing XD Edited August 19, 2016 by Darkness Ascendant
