Blaze1616 he/him Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 (edited) They would work rather well, wouldn't they? Though I'm not sure how Cisco would feel about a world in which the villains make up their own code names. At the same time, their names are along the same lines as his are (canonically, anyways), and so I'm not sure if he'd be upset, or shedding a tear of joy. Yeah but they'd just try to lock all the Epics up in containment cells and inevitably they'd get out and murder them all. Well, considering Epic's have proven themselves irredeemable (publicly), I'm not really sure what Barry's reaction would be, whether he'd be okay with killing them or not. Blackhoof Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 Iconoclast would be useless against him, but Flash couldn't kill him either. So he'd just ignore Flash and go back to ghoulifying people
Voidus Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 With the notable exception of Metronome and the MEE I don't think I have a single Epic who couldn't kill him if they particularly felt like it.

It'd be interesting to see what MV could do with his kind of momentum. And by interesting, I mean terrifying.
Voidus Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 It'd be interesting to see what MV could do with his kind of momentum. And by interesting, I mean terrifying. Current MV? Not much. A corrupted MV who has actually been exploring her powers? Usher in the apocalypse probably. She's probably my most OP character if she ever bothered using her abilities.

Voidus Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 Could you describe the kind of things that MV could do if she started fully exploring her powers? I'm not quite getting how she's so OP. Murder anyone she looks at, freeze armies, speak and listen at a distance, level cities, capture any non-teleporting Epic, she'd be a pretty efficient torturer too if she set her mind to it. The main problem is that her only limit is what momentum she can get her hands on, now that she's back in Portland at the museum she has an entire flying buildings worth, if she were corrupted enough to study and apply her power more then she could obtain practically limitless amounts.
Blackhoof Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 Could you describe the kind of things that MV could do if she started fully exploring her powers? I'm not quite getting how she's so OP. as Voidus said, she can transfer momentum from anywhere to anywhere. That is pretty darn powerful.
Kobold King he/him Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 Backtrack's not nearly so powerful, but he could find the weakness of pretty much any Epic in the Fractured States if he was clever. He should also be able to tell what Calamity is and where he came from at a glance, but he's apparently too scared to look up at the night sky.
Voidus Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 How would her power let her do the above? Murdering people she could do any number of ways, freezing their heart, transferring the momentum of something nearby to a major artery, etc/ Speaking and listening at a distance is a simple matter of transferring the momentum of air in one place to another, and torture would involve much the same things as killing people, just stopping before they actually died. As for the limitless momentum, she could gain it any number of ways, for instance stealing it from a cloud, which would probably give her enough in itself to level a medium sized town. Luckily Megan, while charming and contrary is not the brightest Epic in the bunch so these abilities will largely go unexplored. Because I like creating powerful Epics then limiting them through their psychology rather than their abilities.

Well, considering Epic's have proven themselves irredeemable (publicly), I'm not really sure what Barry's reaction would be, whether he'd be okay with killing them or not. I'm pretty sure that unless they pick a very good name he'd pretty much be like: "Nope, I give the names around here. You're XYZ." Given that he shows no effort to redeem the guys he captured anyway, I'm pretty sure he's just the keep your hands "clean" type of hero that be dead by the time he actually realizes that he'd have to employ lethal force. With the notable exception of Metronome and the MEE I don't think I have a single Epic who couldn't kill him if they particularly felt like it. Well, there's Soulswitch and Strongsteel, which you may already have forgotten about anyway , and Scribbler would at least need a good amount of preparation. Also, talking about Scribbler, how bad does the throwing ice around situation seem? Edited January 11, 2016 by Edgedancer

I think it would depend on who his first few fights are with. Let's say he uses the Speed Force to jump universes, and winds up on ReckonEarth with his team. If his first few fights are with lesser Epics, like say Curveball, which he's sure to win, he might be living in the setting long enough to realize that he won't be getting through to any Epics any time soon. Though he might decide to hold them while he finds a way to turn them good, in which case we're back to your point of the Epics escaping at some point and slaughtering the whole team

Then there's the question what he would do in a city like Corvallis (assuming Euphoria was still around). On the plus side he could get Argon into the city proper. Stormgate he/him Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 I have heard nothing about giving Funtimes a Pegasus/unicorn.
Kobold King he/him Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 I have heard nothing about giving Funtimes a Pegasus/unicorn. She'd probably make herself an army of robotic pegacorns if she happened to see an old carousel.

Edgedancer he/him Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 Now the major question is if there's a carneval in town.

Voidus Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 Well, there's Soulswitch and Strongsteel, which you may already have forgotten about anyway , and Scribbler would at least need a good amount of preparation. Also, talking about Scribbler, how bad does the throwing ice around situation seem? Soulswitch could probably deal with him pretty easily, just take over people and use them to threaten Barry. Strongsteel admittedly probably would have some problems. Though he could just coat his suit in steel for the lols since then Barry would need to fight him nude. Scribbler can kill pretty much anyone if she prepares enough, but given Barry's penchant for capturing enemies alive where possible and never using anything like a gun I don't think she'd even need that much, as soon as he touched her she could just move a suitably deadly tattoo over and kill him. Really bad, not sure how to deal with this. Scribbler after a night of using her powers, with very little sleep and already in a generally bad mood is not going to respond well to an Epic causing property damage at a clinic that she just heard was attacked.

And here Steelheart couldn't coat people's clothes, he missed out on all the fun. I dunno, if we take Barry fighting seriously, then Scribbler wouldn't really have the time to shift anything over on his body before his fist is gone again. Especially one that has already been shoot for escaping from prision. Probably best to talk with her about this per pm. 1

Plus given who Scribbler is it's much more likely that she'd be the one initiating the fight so that would give her as much time as she needed.

Your opinion about contacting Elsa?
Voidus Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 Yeah a PM is probably in order. Kobold/Twi did you want to be included?
