TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted January 10, 2016 Author Posted January 10, 2016 And happy Birthday to Twi too apparently... Not yet where I live, but since I'll be traveling tomorrow, we're celebrating early.
Mashadar Mistborn he/him Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 Gah Voidus, seeing your name in yellow whenever you're on a thread is messing with me. *curls up in a ball, whimpering and mumbling about change* *turns into a Hoed*

Mashadar Mistborn he/him Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 No, it wouldn't. That would be worse. Thanks for the offer, though. How about a blessing of presence. *mumbles* Change is bad. Change is bad...
Stormgate he/him Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 Can I make a suggestion about Nathan? There is an Epic in Portland that can combine animals (Chimera). Nathan doesn't know what to do about Funtimes, so she should get a present. Have Chimera make a pegasus/unicorn/both for Funtimes.

Mashadar Mistborn he/him Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 Are you sure? Gak! Yes I'm sure.Change is bad...
Voidus Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 Gak! Yes I'm sure. Change is bad... Oh alright I'll change it back. *Grumble grumble* Had to find an archived version of the site to recover that picture *grumble grumble*
Edgedancer he/him Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 The Flash has perhaps one of the strongest powers ever- he can beat almost any opponent before they realise he is even there. And he uses this power to stop in front of his opponents and have a conversation with them. Truly a genius fighter. The first Captain Cold episode shows that the cold gun's blast travels faster than he does at his normal speed--it was designed as a contingency against him, after all. That said, Snart never actually uses this to his advantage. He confronts the Flash and monologues with slow exaggerated syllables when he should have been disarmed and punched in the face four hundred times in the second it would take him to raise the weapon. The only villains who are a legitimate threat to the Flash are those with a strong prime invincibility, for the most part. For instance, I struggle to think of what he could do to stop Lucentia or Steelheart. Honestly, even if it was designed againsrt him, the freeze gun has long lost usefulness for anything but a suprise attack. Not only were the episode in which it wwas fast at the very beginning of the series, meaning the Flash has gotten significantly faster than it now but Snard's normal reaction speed means Barry could just slide under it or jump over the beam without Snard being able to adapt his aim before he got the crem beat out of him. Not yet where I live, but since I'll be traveling tomorrow, we're celebrating early. It will be your birthday when you read this, so happy birthday, Twi! Would it help if I changed back to my old, Inquisitor dp and you can pretend I'm someone else? The dark alley, this rp and now a moderator. You are planning on taking over this site, aren't you?

For instance, I struggle to think of what he could do to stop Lucentia or Steelheart. In the comics, one of the various people to hold the Flash mantle discovered that he could deliver an infinite-mass punch by having his fist approach the speed of light upon impact. So it's more a matter of which PI's he could bust with such a move. The issue is also conflated when taking certain aspect of a PI into account (such as Steelheart's whole fear aspect). Yes, Flash is easily in the top 5 most OP DC characters.

I don't know about Steelheart, but Edgedancer's said that Lucentia would survive being stuffed down the singularity of a black hole if the occasion arose. Before Barry discovered he could vibrate through solid walls Lucentia could probably have won a fight by encasing him in crystal, but now I'm not so sure how their duel would turn out.

I'm going to take this out of spoilers since we're now discussing an RP character, and I'll avoid anything that actually spoils (or potentially does so) the show for you. Barry would be able to escape the crystal by vibrating his entire body at a frequency that either shatters the crystal or allows him to weave between the crystal molecules. Without using some form of electric field, it's likely impossible to contain Flash. He might even be capable of escaping those, but I'm not particularly familiar with their physics.

At this point the vibration stunt still seems to take him a good amount of concentration, so crushing him seems like a much better bet than imprisoning him. Or ambushes, ambushes always help, as does putting stress on him by killing random civilains.

Perhaps the Flash's greatest defense against Lucentia is that the CW would never let the Jagers onto their station.

Edgedancer he/him Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 Only the stringent rules of family-friendly television can save him now! Said rules also give the villains a chance to punch him mid-dialogue, so it seems to be a take and give. (Now if there's someone like Deathpoint around. )

Well yes, with where Barry is on the show, the only Epic we've got that might not best him is Backtrack Perhaps the Flash's greatest defense against Lucentia is that the CW would never let the Jagers onto their station. If they did let Lucentia on the show, they'd put her in circumstances where her impulse to complain would be so strong Barry would have an opening
Kobold King he/him Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 If they did let Lucentia on the show, they'd put her in circumstances where her impulse to complain would be so strong Barry would have an opening She'd be even funnier on Arrow. "My name is Oliver Queen. I spent five years on a hellish island with only one goal: to survive. Now--" "Five years on an island? That's nothing. I did a triumphant victory march through the city I conquered last week, and nobody showed up to cheer me on! I had to spend the next week rounding up women and children and executing them as an example to the work force, and the bodies piled up so high that I had to kill the landfill owner for not clearing enough space for them. And then--" * is shot by an arrow * 1

Thus you discovered an Epics true weakness, the meta. She'd be even funnier on Arrow. "My name is Oliver Queen. I spent five years on a hellish island with only one goal: to survive. Now--" "Five years on an island? That's nothing. I did a triumphant victory march through the city I conquered last week, and nobody showed up to cheer me on! Here's a birthday present for Twi. 5
Blaze1616 he/him Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 Hmm, now I'm thinking about one of the power puff Epics against him. You're right, Blossom would struggle and most likely lose, but might be able to outsmart him if she could cut him off from Cisco and Caitlin. Bubble's might not beat him either, it would depend on how long he'd be distracted by her first bubble, if she can erect a second protection bubble around herself she can outlast him since his metabolism is redonk fast. I don't think he'd be able to beat Buttercup as he is now. The team on Flash would definitely fit in with ReckonEarth though, with the gang at the lab furiously trying to discover weaknesses while Barry tries to keep the Epic's from causing too much damage. 1

They would work rather well, wouldn't they? Though I'm not sure how Cisco would feel about a world in which the villains make up their own code names.

Yeah but they'd just try to lock all the Epics up in containment cells and inevitably they'd get out and murder them all.
