Kobold King he/him Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 I'll make sure to let the affected parties know beforehand but it has the potential to be somewhat... cataclysmic. He realizes that entropy itself is constantly working to destroy him, his power takes effect, and the universe suffers a probability meltdown? 1
Edgedancer he/him Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 A poem that breaks the brains of everyone who reads it? Maybe or maybe he writes it to Altermind but signs with Lightwards name. 2

Voidus Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 MURPHY HAS HARNESSED THE POWER OF SHIPPING ALL IS LOST Even if he did his power would ensure that the romance ended tragically.
Edgedancer he/him Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 Even if he did his power would ensure that the romance ended tragically. And thus all was meaningless. 3
Edgedancer he/him Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 (edited) So, into how much trouble is Edgerunner going to get for just taking an Epics that's somewhere between not vetted and on the shooting list for having a bad temper as well as falsifying orders? Mailliw73 he/him Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 She'll tell Arsenal and Vondra that she figured they'd need more help against rogue Epics and that she trusts Frostfire enough. Not that that's likely to mean much, but that's her plan.

Not that that's likely to mean much, but that's her plan. Yeah, sorry but that should not fly, taking aside Frostfire using his powers making him an completely unpredictable security risk, no matter how "nice" he was before, the moment she evokes an superior to give her argument more value she's right in Dishonorable discharge territory, you do not mess with an army's chain of command. The fact that she's been using her powers without a second thought lately doesn't exactly help her cause either. And as someone living in that setting, she should know that. (Unless using her powers so much causing clouded judgement is what you're getting at.)
Voidus Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 "Emma Runes, your punishment for insubordination is to discuss your feelings..." "With Autumn? Sweet." "With Arsenal." "NOOOOOOO" It could be worse. She could have to have dinner with Deathwish. 1
Kobold King he/him Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 So, into how much trouble is Edgerunner going to get for just taking an Epics that's somewhere between not vetted and on the shooting list for having a bad temper as well as falsifying orders? If I recall correctly I approved the usage of Frostfire in the fight, but I imagined it being after Emma argues her case to Arsenal and he reluctantly agrees. (After all, as far as Arsenal is concerned, the worst that can happen with a rogue Epic is that he gets to crack down harder on the city with regular patrols, or even institute an artillery shelling against him.) That's obviously not what happened here, but I'm sure there's a way to salvage this.

There's no realistic way Edgerunner can get out of this situation without getting severly punished but that's not necessarily bad for the narrative.
Kobold King he/him Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 Blame Scribbler for it and make her work all night again? Meanwhile, in Arsenal's office: Ah yes, that turn of events would have made much more sense. Depends what you mean by salvage. A fugitive Edgerunner eloping with Frostfire would be both dramatic and tragic, given her backstory. 2

Mailliw73 he/him Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 I don't mind her getting punished. She probably deserves it. She only uses her power for transportation really, so she's not using it that much. I figure if Frostfire is a key point in winning the battle of the bus, then Vondra's more likely to go easy on her. But I'm willing to take punishment. She is too. She knows what's coming when you mess with Arsey.

Blackhoof Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 Ok, so what needs to happen next with the Dominion? The plans are in motion. Once a bit more time in-game passes, I plan to make a corpsemaker post where he sends out his mechs and vehicles. Electro and Timeport are heading off to get Neverthere. and whatever Voidus is planning with Murphy

They may be minor Epics but there are dozens of them. Not sure Murphy will be able to handle them all by himself. Other, more dramatic plans will happen a fair bit later.

Electro and Timeport are heading off to get Neverthere. and whatever Voidus is planning with Murphy Well as you just said, just about everyone has something to do, so that sounds like a good place to start. Or did you mean more something like "what needs to happen for time to pass so i can write that CM post?" At the moment just crashing the MEE HQ, which will probably be pretty... interesting. They may be minor Epics but there are dozens of them. Not sure Murphy will be able to handle them all by himself. Other, more dramatic plans will happen a fair bit later. Well his powers are mostly defensive, so I don't think him actually going on the attack would be a good idea, he could cause plenty of chaos though.
