Kobold King he/him Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 (edited) It's that time of the year again. (Heaven Sent trailer image.) Edited November 25, 2015 by Kobold King 5
The Honor Spren she/her Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 I wanted to be Ookla The Beautiful and Articulate, but that was too long. Why are we changing our names to Ookla? 2
Allomancy she/her Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 q(0v0)p *shrugs* (O-o) *wait...* (O^o) *ahhh!!!!!!!* /(0u0)/ *put ya hands in da air* 1
Kobold King he/him Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 I wanted to be Ookla The Beautiful and Articulate, but that was too long. Yet forced to choose between the two adjectives, you proved that you'd rather be considered articulate than physically beautiful. I approve of you, Ookla. 3
Mashadar Mistborn he/him Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 Ookla the Mythical now strides the forums! Tremble before my imaginary might! 2
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 Ooklas without sparkles aren't any fun. So I won't subject you fine people to a sparkle-free Ookla. 1
+Slowswift Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 Ooklas without sparkles aren't any fun. So I won't subject you fine people to a sparkle-free Ookla. Ookla the Sparkly.
Haelbarde he/him Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 Well I'm joining in the fun, though it's a bit obvious who I really am... 1
The Honor Spren she/her Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 THe next few weeks are going to be so confusing. 6
Mashadar Mistborn he/him Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 (edited) Yay! Causing my internet friends to become confused. It's all I really ever wanted from life. Edit: Oh right, we have emojis. Edited November 25, 2015 by Ookla the Mythical
Kobold King he/him Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 (edited) Reputation-Diver's Log, Entry 2 : Some of you may remember that I am on a mission to go through the entirety of our dear Kobold King's reputation. image.png The hilarity and cleverness that spawned the Shard's upvote god seem to be endless. But I shall persist, for the good of all... And for my own lulz. I am both flattered and stricken with the feeling that this will end with me and my family in restraints while a villainous Chouta monologues at us. Edited November 25, 2015 by Kobold King 2
Orlion Blight he/him Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 Ooklas without sparkles aren't any fun. So I won't subject you fine people to a sparkle-free Ookla. The reaction of this particular Ookla to the idea of a sparkle-free Ookla can not be comprehended by the minds of mere four dimensional critters.
Kobold King he/him Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 Well, I haven't declared myself "Kobold Duke" and attempted to become your forum sidekick, so you and your family's chances are pretty good at this point. Nor have the mods banned reputation-garnering, so I think we're safe from any potential Pixar incident.
+Slowswift Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 (edited) This is relevant. Edited November 25, 2015 by Ookla the Ineffable 6
Kaymyth she/her Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 It's not about who's best for any one job. Down that path lies only madness. Just from what I can see of you on this forum, you are an extremely capable woman. You are kind to a point I could never hope to aspire to, which makes the idea of your not being cut out for taking care of a pet just about laughable. As for your writing, well, I'd kill to string words together with the grace you manage. You're only deluding yourself if you think you're a useless human being, because I assure you you're anything but. You are a glorious creature. Your existence is one of brilliance and beauty. I beg you from the bottom of my heart not to believe anything other than that. Don't believe the words of nasty people who aren't your friends, and don't you dare heed whatever poison that harpy that gave you birth is filling your head with. You are wonderful and deserve every word of our praise and support, and not an ounce of the self-deprecation you heap upon yourself. ...it's times like these that I totally ship TwiLyght/Kobold. Thanks everyone. I do feel better now. Still discouraged, but not like giving up anymore. I regained my ability to chuckle at things, two of which I'll share: 1. I wanted all of the jobs I was rejected from. Therefore, the only way to get a job is to only apply for jobs I really don't want! Foolproof! 2. Relevant Magazine has released their annual Christmas album, titled A Very Relevant Christmas. I don't know why I find this so amusing. Just remember: You're good enough, you're smart enough, and gosh darn it, people like you! Let's go Ooklas, let's go! *clap clap clap* Let's go Ooklas, let's go! *clap clap clap* I...I thought that it didn't start for two more days... I'm not going to be an Ookla. foodlyoot toot Hi, T! Ookla the Mythical now strides the forums! Tremble before my imaginary might! What?! YOU STOLE MY NAME! (Seriously, Mythical, Kaymyth...now what am I gonna do?) 4
DanTheSeamonster he/him Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 My name is now changed. I shall be the most crooked of all the Ooklas! Good luck, everyone! We'll need it to not become confused.
Kaymyth she/her Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 My name is now changed. I shall be the most crooked of all the Ooklas! Good luck, everyone! We'll need it to not become confused. Extra-confused, since I know I had told at least a few people that I was gonna go with Mythical. Mashadar beat me to it, though, so now I have to think of something else. ...I am too sleepy to think tonight. Will come up with something tomorrow, maybe.
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 I used to think Christian schooling—that is, private Christian schools of the more conservative sort—were a good thing. Mind you, I only ever attended one when I was in kindergarten, and the older of my two sisters attended one for two years when she was in kindergarten and first grade. Sure, they had pretty strict dress codes, but that wasn't a big deal. Most people go to those schools for the education, right? And then my mom decided to send the younger of my sisters to a private Christian school because of the strict dress code. Apparently, she's been rolling up her shorts at school to make them shorter (she wears knee-legnth shorts, so it's not like she's turning regular-length shorts into Daisy Dukes) and we can't have that. So apparently, sending her to a school that explicitly forbids both punk-style clothes and cross-dressing will make her….I don't know….appreciate wearing clothes she hates? Now I'm shopping Etsy for her Christmas present, wondering if this backpack…. …could possibly be considered "counter-cultural" or "be disruptive to learning by calling attention to itself." Yeah. A Supergirl backpack. I'm worried about that falling outside the stupid dress code. I'll see if I can email someone at that school and get a yes or a no. 1
ThirdGen Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 Extra-confused, since I know I had told at least a few people that I was gonna go with Mythical. You were sadly mythtaken. 2
Kaymyth she/her Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 You were sadly mythtaken. .... One of these days, you are going to come to work and find every office supply on your desk covered in googly eyes. 8
Silverblade5 he/him Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 .... One of these days, you are going to come to work and find every office supply on your desk covered in googly eyes. I would've gone with an annoy-a-tron, but that works too
DanTheSeamonster he/him Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 (edited) Hahahahahahahahahahaha. Ha. Now I don't know if I should change my name back or just leave it like it is and deal with the shame. To be fair, this is my first time partaking of Ookla Season.
