Bort he/him Posted July 23, 2015 Posted July 23, 2015 (edited) Snapping. (Note, I stop by this thread maybe once a month, so if I'm right, whoever makes the next guess can take my place). Edited July 23, 2015 by Bort
Jo and the Bush all/any Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 @paragin, I think if he doesn't respond in a day, you can just take it.
Steel he/him Posted August 25, 2015 Posted August 25, 2015 No and no. Sorry I haven't replied in so long. Remember, it's on Scadrial.

Curiosity he/him Posted August 26, 2015 Posted August 26, 2015 We talking AoL Scadrial, Final Empire Scadrial, or Classical Scadrial?
kinxer he/him Posted August 26, 2015 Posted August 26, 2015 Also, is there any significant wordplay going on here?
Darkness Ascendant he/him Posted August 26, 2015 Posted August 26, 2015 WHAT IS IT??? DRIVING ME NUTS!
The One Who Reads he/him Posted August 26, 2015 Posted August 26, 2015 Quick recap (flicking between pages is annoying me) "Self harm is the opposite of against the law." The world is Scadrial The opposite of 'against the law' would be 'legal' or 'in support of the law', perhaps AoL's law keepers? Irrespective of wordplay the law is part of this somehow. It is not: Snapping, Hemalurgy, Zane, The kandra's suicide pact or searching for Atium geodes. I think 'Self harm' is the real hint here, I can't see something that specific being just filler. But what laws have we seen changed regarding self-imposed trauma? The only thing that stands out is Elend banning people from snapping their children (he made it so that you had to be a consenting adult) but we know that Snapping isn't it...
DreamEternal Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 Sazed changing snapping to be less brutal, thus tweeking the laws of allomancy?
Ookla the Absent Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 Obligator worship services, in which they ceremonially cut themselves with sharp metal triangles? 1
kinxer he/him Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 Obligator worship services, in which they ceremonially cut themselves with sharp metal triangles? This seems likely.
