Then you know with what kind of nightmares I'll fill the place.

The Panda:

I am the Panda Bear! I am Adorable!

I command you to gaze upon my face!

You'll never find some bear as Epic as I am,
I'm the craziest bear in this state.

I'm a prophet, a god, I'm a bear to behold
There is none as endearing as I!!
With my cute little paws and my razor-sharp claws,
Of my majesty none can deny!

Because I am the Panda Bear!
I am mysterious!
In my conquests I leave beauty in my wake.

You will not find a bear with such abilities
I'm a creature you can never break.

Chorus of winged flying panda bears:

Panda bear takes good care Panda Bear is so fair Panda Bear has great hair Panda Bear oh so rare Panda Bear will you spare Panda Bear is our prayer Panda Bear!

I tried to make a comic of the above song a few months ago, by the way, but I screwed up in Paint and wound up losing my work. Here's the last surviving panel.

I think this is what Arsenal has nightmares about.

I think he had nightmares about it before he became an Epic.

Clearly, a slightly different version of this is currently happening in Rowena. If only there was a Dalles post to despict it.

Now I'm imagining Scribbler and Edgerunner constantly following Arsenal and bugging him, chanting, "Let's go to Candy Mountain, Arsie. Candy Mountain, yaaay!"

I can neither confirm nor deny the potential veracity of this statement other than to say that I really think we should canonize a candy mountain immediately.

Could Scribbler actualize it?

Yes but she'd need enough ink and time to write out a mountain sized word to do so :P

Introducing...

Supersize

Primary:Can increase the size of a drawing by any factor he wishes.

Secondary: Can cause the commodification of any good, and creates a global chain of stores selling the product.

Weakness: Food from local restaurants.

Lord Dupin would never allow her to use so much power at once.

...would he?

The mind of one such as Lord Dupin is not for such as we to know.

She will flee to the Dalles, the one city he doesn't seem to know abbout, where unknown to her Shiny Sparkle awaits her with various coplays of plant type pokemons.

The Dalles is a tiny city on the edge of the state, whose existence relies on not being well-known enough for any High Epic (or even moderately powerful lesser Epic) to bother attacking, out of principle or the desire for control. Of course he doesn't know much, if anything, about it :P

Wouldn't be a place he likes anyway. Work for worms? In exchange for minor comforts and no servants that should be his right anyway? Inconceivable! :P

In case you folks haven't seen yet, I asked Brandon at his signing in Lansing if he could tell me something about Oregon's Destruction.

He said that not only was Night's Sorrow in Oregon, but is the one who destroyed it too.

Also, my apologies for not posting in a while. Some IRL things are eating up my time. I promise I'm trying to find time to write up a post.

OOoh! Big news!

Now we know that one Epic in particular destroyed Oregon in some fashion.

Don't you know about candy mountain, Twi?

Was Night's Sorrow supposed to appear in it?

If he/she does, then we will know enough to write him or her.

If he/she doesn't.... then we can write her and make her up entirely!

An idea occurred to me- in either situation in Calamity, we could theoretically write for Night's Sorrow. And if their powers (if we find them out, if not even better!) are the same as someone else's powers in the RP already, we can have them change their name to Night's Sorrow at some stage. If we don't find out Sorrow's powers, then we can pick ANY of our Epics (within reason of course) and rename them. We can remain in-canon after all! Maybe :P

There was a joke before Firefight came out that a corrupted Voidgaze would go on a rampage, destroy Oregon, and call herself Obliteration. :P

"Uh, Arsenal?"

"I will not answer to my false name."

"Fine, Night's Sorrow. I was just going to ask--"

"My old name was a reminder that I had not yet discovered my true identity. I believe I've answered this before."

"I was just going to ask if the black robes, moon necklace, and 1980s metal makeup are really necessary."

"They're completely necessary!"

A less amusing thought though was Funtimes going dark and becoming Night's Sorrow :\

I have a feeling that we will get at least a throwaway mention of Sorrow, or at least a little tidbit about her powers, in Calamity. Brandon has namedropped her a few times after all.

Not really a direction I want to take her character. Though if it's any comfort, Night's Sorrow was mentioned alongside Steelheart and Obliteration in the first book, and I don't think Funtimes is powerful enough for a similar comparison.

Most of the people who could compete with those two are in Astoria, other than there the only ones I could think of are Soulcaster, Corpsemaker and possibly Rainmaker.
I suppose Scribbler or MV could technically fight at the same level but they've both got some pretty massive limitations to balance them out, so unless MV had access to a meteorite's momentum or Scribbler had a truckload of ink and  lot of time to prepare they'd both get squished pretty easily.

The Metal? :P He could fight toe-to-toe with those guys, and destroy the entire state relatively easily.

He'd call himself Night's Sorrow as a joke mocking Lucentia's complaining, and go with a completely goth look just to mess with her....yeah, I can see it happening. :P

One of the aforementioned people who could fight them from Astoria :P

Bloody Mary, Bioterror and a few others could probably do well too.
