Argent he/him Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 Wax (pretty much) only wears the earing when he is praying - he makes a point of it in The Alloy of Law, it's a religious thing for Pathians. He also puts it on before his final confrontation with Miles, thinking that the event was important enough to warrant a bit of extra divine mojo. I don't think his pursuit of Bloody Tan would've ranked quite as high, the prologue made it seem like it was a normal job for him and Lessie. They didn't even have Wayne at the time. So I very much doubt he would've had his earring on.
Kurkistan he/him Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 Then again, trick #0 for Ruin was making people irrationally keep their spikes in, from Vin to Spook. So Wax "just happening" to keep the earring in after praying the night before or something is entirely in the realm of possibility if someone stole Ruin's playbook. 2
Argent he/him Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 Possible, but I am ruling it out (for myself) until concrete evidence presents itself. 1
SweetLift she/her Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 What happened to all the Kandra that did not remove their spikes at the end of HoA? Is there any info on that? Perhaps this is their doing...the second generation was really not on board with the firsts. I would like to point out that Idashwy's body was found intact (other than the hole in her chest) in chapter 6, so Tan could not have been at the party as her, she had to have killed the people at the party, then her power was stolen... 1
natc Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 They still have the Flaw, which would now be connected to Harmony. And I bet when push comes to shove even if Harmony refuses to stop them himself Marsh probably could. 1
StormyAngel he/him Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 I would like to point out that Idashwy's body was found intact (other than the hole in her chest) in chapter 6, so Tan could not have been at the party as her, she had to have killed the people at the party, then her power was stolen... I may not have been reading closely enough, but I don't think is a sure thing. While they did find the body intact, I don't recall any certainty as to time of death, and Idashwy had been missing for a week minimum. Plus when we have the viewpoint at the actual party, the servant seems definitely like a guy to me. So she may have been the killer, but it doesn't have to have been her. I'm personally finding that unlikely.
