I'm pretty sure everything is influenced inside the bubble, so much so, that you--being inside the bubble--wouldn't be able to perceive the difference in your heart rate, etc. (I liken this to how celestial bodies work, or how we can't notice a constant velocity. You only notice the car accelerating. Once you get up to speed, your body effectively stops feeling the velocity. You only know you're moving because you can see the effects. Likewise, we don't feel the Earth rotating or the Earth moving around the sun, because it's a constant velocity). You'd just know time was slower due to the difference of things moving outside of it.

As such, I would love to be a Soother.

Well, the thing is, since it relies on Duralumin and/or Nicrosil, you'd only get that effect for a brief flash. You'd have to have a concentrated effort involving a lot of Mistings and/or Mistborn to get it right.

Well that's the thing. Since it's bending time, the perceived flash inside the bubble would actually last for a very long time on the outside if you're using Cadmium. So if you're strong enough, that one burst could propel you a significant distance into the future. The only problem is that you're pretty much frozen there when looked at from the outside and you'd be pretty much gone if something bad happened like an avalanche or something else.

To be honest, I'm having a little trouble choosing which kind of misting I would be. Tin and Zinc kind of appeal to me, but Iron would be pretty cool as well.

when you burn bendalloy or cadmium, can you move the bubble or does the bubble stay in the same place until you stop burning the metal? That if you could move the bubble as you move there would be more applications. (not enough info)

The misting I would want to be is a seeker so I could find other mistings to work for me.

I would imagine that it stays centered around the burner, just like the effects of copper and bronze. There's no reason to imagine that cadmium and bendalloy work any differently.

Tin all the way. When Spook becomes a savant, I was converted to the ways of tin.  :)

I would have to say I'd be a coinshot, buring steel (despite what my member tag says). Although, Silus almost convinced me to choose Iron instead. I would love to use it for mobility purposes and, in the world we live in, there is plenty of metal around to be put to such good use. Imagine travelling down a busy highway, using the cars below you. Perfect situation. And it would be sweet to shoot things all around the place too.

I always liked brass or zinc. I'd probably choose to be a Soother.

Necroing this thread because an answer popped up to me as soon as I read it :P

I might go for being a coinshot (assuming that there's enough metal in pennies/small change to push upon), since it'd be fun to fly. :P

I might also go for being a slider (if it was easy enough to get my hands on bendalloy) - If you had enough bendalloy, you'd have plenty of time to do anything... Deadline at work - no problem! Just bendalloy away!

For some reason, I pick Lurcher. I feel like they don't get enough love, and I keep thinking of fun ways to make it awesome.

Since the thread was necro'd, I'll respond to this question. We have examples from AOL of Wayne moving about inside his bubble, and I believe some confirmation from on high that the bubble is fixed in some way to the planet. Whether by gravity or some other mechanism I can't be sure.

Mostly from gravity. It's from the Spiritual Gravitational bond that the human has with the planet. (It's this same bond that Szeth manipulates when he uses a Basic Lashing). The time bubbles seem to copy this bond.

Yes, I know that already. I was actually going to post saying how I was on to something when I had previously posted.

I would definitely be a coinshot. Then I'd sneak into my school at night and coat the concrete and buildings with a mixture of metal dust and watered-down superglue. Ultimate steeljumping area! And I'd lay down an allomantic highway home.

Rioter. Maybe a soother.

Being a pewterarm might be nice for the agility and balance, but in the modern world there are few actual uses. Tineye? I'm used to having bad eyesight, so I get by. Smokers? Pfft. Seekers? Meh. Influencing other people, though?! Totally. Please forgive me while I practice my villain laugh now.

Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha ... Ha ha... HAAAAA!

I've hired a vocal coach, really working on the.... HA

I'd actually recommend getting some good audio editing software. Make a recording of your villain laugh, play it back, then have it altered to how you want it to sound. You can practice, record, and compare for as long as you like, and it gives you the benefit of knowing not only how you sound to yourself, but how you sound to others. A perfectly dreadful laugh to your own ears might come off utterly cheesy to everyone else, and you'll never know if your voice coach doesn't like you.

Anyway, I guess I'd go with Soother or Pewterarm. I could use deceptive strength and agility to great advantage, but there's something to be said for just smothering someone's emotions, maybe leaving them fear if you're feeling generous.

*looks at thread title*

Oh, this wasn't villain specific? Um... I could be a superhero! Or inspire others to heroics!

Maybe you can even start a Sing-a-Long Blog.

I think I would choose to be a Coinshot. I often find myself wishing that I could just go up and soar- and Coinshots allow for that much easier than Lurchers.

With my Bendalloy, I will stop the world,

With my Bendalloy, I will find the time to find the words...

Anyway, for practicality, I think I would rather be a Soother. As entertaining as thoughts of iron and steel are, I wouldn't want to use them without pewter, given the danger of going splat.

I would say Seer, if the supply of Atium was large enough. Failing that, 'twould be epic to be a Coinshot. Even considering Sliders and Pulsers.

Even with the deflection, wouldn't a coinshot still have an advantage over Sliders or Pulsers? I remember Vin pushing against bags of coins. Even with the deflection entering the bubble you are bound to hit something with 50-100 pieces of metal flying.

My first instinct is a Coinshot or Lurcher, coupled with a little BASE Jumping. Which one is the bigger question - Batman shows me that, in a city, being a Lurcher is actually far more useful and versatile than being a Coinshot due to greater control, but on the other hand, it couldn't help you, say, careen around the Grand Canyon without serious prep work, which a Coinshot could. Tricky.

In either case, my runner up would be Pewter. Perfect balance + an awesome immune system + the ability to go days without sleep + the ability to jump like an Olympic champion = perfection.

I see what you all mean about Rioting/Soothing, but I still feel such abilities are morally questionable at best.

P.S. I didn't want it due to migraines, but I think it's sad nobody else seems to care about Tin.

The question I ask myself when choosing is: "What can make my life easier while keeping myself as lazy as possible?"

The answer obviously is pewter. It don't need to be used only to deliver the pain! And when you REALLY need to deliver the pain, you have it anyway. Also, pewter is easy and cheap to come by as a bonus.

Also, upvoting Dr. Horrible references! :P
