Hoid will turn out to be a false identity, and all the Hoids we've met throughout the series are all clones of the original Hoid, who died thousands of years before Adonalsium even shattered. This Hoid that we've met is just one of those clones, kept alive by holding massive amounts of investiture. (Still going strong on the crack theories. I've only gotten around four hours of sleep, so forgive me if this is not very impressive.)

Mitosis will escape into the Cosmere and become a worldhopper. There will be at least one version of him on every world, all linked together telepathically. He will be either a valuable ally or a dangerous enemy to the Seventeenth Shard.
