TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted August 26, 2015 Author Posted August 26, 2015 I'm sure that between cute pugs and a cute romance enfolding in the Dalles he might just be able to channel his awesomness into regrowing them. Vondra is an Edgedancer? Shocking as it is, that does explain a lot....
Edgedancer he/him Posted August 26, 2015 Posted August 26, 2015 Vondra is an Edgedancer? Shocking as it is, that does explain a lot.... Yes, Vondra is one of my most renowned colleagues. We are so proud of him. 1
Kobold King he/him Posted August 26, 2015 Posted August 26, 2015 Yes, Vondra is one of my most renowned colleagues. We are so proud of him. When a spren bonded him, the spren gained powers. 3
Edgedancer he/him Posted August 26, 2015 Posted August 26, 2015 When a spren bonded him, the spren gained powers. And that power created Edgerunner, explaining why she isn't corrupted even after using her powers, see, it all comes full circle. 2
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted August 26, 2015 Author Posted August 26, 2015 This time in The Dalles, Autumn doesn't exactly say "paws off my man," but if you want to read it that way, sure. 2
ostrichofevil he/him Posted August 26, 2015 Posted August 26, 2015 Hello. How do I start playing this? 1
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted August 26, 2015 Author Posted August 26, 2015 Hello. How do I start playing this? Welcome! The first thing you'll want to do is post your character's bio here, so other players can give feedback. Have you read any of the game threads?
mail-mi he/him Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 (edited) Hello. How do I start playing this? ...do I know you IRL? EDIT: Sorry, mistook you for someone else. Edited August 27, 2015 by mail-mi

TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted August 27, 2015 Author Posted August 27, 2015 No, not yet. I guess I'll take a look at them. Which ones do you think are most important? Depends on which one you want to join. If you want to play as an Epic, I'd recommend Salem; if you want a non-Epic, I'd recommend The Dalles.
ostrichofevil he/him Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 Thanks! I think that I'll start by looking at Salem, since I have some Epic ideas.
Blackhoof Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 (edited) Salem is pretty much an Epic fight-thread. Edit: btw I've been reading the Portland thread finally and got up to the Nighthound vs Lightwards/Funtimes fight, and man was it entertaining! so crazy Edited August 27, 2015 by Blackhoof

ostrichofevil he/him Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 Okay. I think I have an idea for an Epic: Epic Name: Silverflux Powers: Can turn any metal into a liquid (without increasing the temperature) Can telekinetically move and "bend" (Avatar style) any metal liquified in this way Can solidify liquid metal Can temporarily turn any other liquids into liquid metal I'm open for comments. I'm supposed to PM someone my weakness, correct?

Blackhoof Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 Well there is already a metal manipulator (although her power is more vague than yours) in Salem- my own Lady Deathskull. And in fact there are two- Meliability manipulates metal in a limited way. Three might be pushing it.
ostrichofevil he/him Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 There's already someone with those powers? In that case, I'll try to think of something else.
ostrichofevil he/him Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 (edited) Does anyone already have a power that has to do with plants? Using vines to attack the enemy etc. EDIT - Or elemental powers? Edited August 27, 2015 by ostrichofevil
Mailliw73 he/him Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 I know i have another comic I'm working on but I had to get this version of the Autumn option done before your pesky canon could interfere. Is that only for sensory illusions or could Neverthere just walk up to him and see his real self? Huh. That's a good point. I think he could probably localize visual and maybe a couple auditory hallucinations, but nothing of other types or any more than that. So he couldn't affect her projection with smell or touch, and depending on his focus, audio.
Aonar he/him Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 Does anyone already have a power that has to do with plants? Using vines to attack the enemy etc. EDIT - Or elemental powers? On the first count, there is one like that in the Dalles, but I'm not sure if Tulir's even still participating in this, and your Epic would be going into Salem anyways, so you're probably fine there. In terms of elemental powers there are a fair few of scattered throughout the various threads, but none off the top of my head in Salem. Savannah might be considered a very minor water manipulator (although I might be misremembering; he can desiccate things, right Voidus?), and as mentioned, there are a couple metal manipulators, but I can't think of any others. Then again, I'm not currently participating in the Salem thread (aside from some vague future plans for a weak reality warper/illusionist/emotional manipulator) so I'm just going off of what I can remember being discussed in the Question, and might not be the best one to ask.
Blackhoof Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 Yeah an elemental Epic should be fine in Salem. Also a note for your character: Epics come from all around to compete and entertain themselves in the arena, usually for a short visit. So your Epic could be from just about anywhere.
Voidus Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 Does anyone already have a power that has to do with plants? Using vines to attack the enemy etc. EDIT - Or elemental powers? In other threads they do but none in Salem that are either plant manipulating or elementaly based. I have a growing document of several thousand planned Epics so pretty much every power is there at some point but a bit of duplication is fine, just the metal manipulation that might have been a problem since there's two in Salem already. Yeah he can draw a steady stream of water from his surroundings, people take longer though so he can't just immediately turn everyone into dried out husks
ostrichofevil he/him Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 Here's my second Epic idea: Epic Name: Winterflame Powers: Water/Ice Manipulation Fire Creation and Manipulation Can combine Water/Ice and Fire to make a "Winterflame", which he frequently uses in combat Does that work? 1
Mestiv he/him Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 Here's my second Epic idea: Epic Name: Winterflame Powers: Water/Ice Manipulation Fire Creation and Manipulation Can combine Water/Ice and Fire to make a "Winterflame", which he frequently uses in combat Does that work? Pretty simple, but I think it's good for a start. What is so special about this Winterflame? Hotter than normal flame? Can't be extinguished? Makes things freeze instead of burn?

Interesting. What's Winterflame?
