Basically, I'm curious which major characters escaped or reached the last bastion in the whole apocalypse scene in The Hero of Ages novel. I'm thinking that if there is an easier way to resurrect long dead characters then there should at least be some bones to work to magic on.

From what I remember we got the remains of:
-Ham
-Breeze
-Spook
And then we also have the bodies of:
-Vin
-Elend

-Kelsier

I was curious in case you need the bodies to resurrect, then how much of the old gang can be reunited?

(also Sazed, Marsh and TenSoon could still be in the teamup)

Kelsier's ghost/cognitive shadow is still around, maybe from being worshipped, maybe from his own willpower, so I suppose TLR is still out there hating everyone as well. It would be funny if Sazed kept both around as a pair of bickering adivisors.

I wonder what they did with his body/bones... Once he was dead, would the aging continue? I realize that it's not technically "age" that causes bones to decompose, it's time; aging very rapidly would not cause them to weather or bleach or suffer fungal decay or anything. But would they suffer all of the osteoporosis they would have suffered in a thousand years of life, even after the body's death?

Spook, Breeze, Allrianne, Ham and Marsh survived anyways.

The bodies of Vin and Elend were left for Spook to find. Kelsier's bones were probably lost, as they were buried somewhere in Luthadel, so I suppose it could be possible that someone might dig them up somewhere in the middle of Terris.

Clubs and Tindwyl were definitely lost though.

Until the future mistborn trilogy comes out, my headcannon is that Kelsier will come back to become the mind of an Southern Continent Allomantic/Feruchemical/Hemalurgic machine that the future Scadrians use to pilot their cosmere-ship.

...Kelsier as basically the Cosmere equivalent of the Andromeda Ascendant?  That is terrifying.

The ships controls are operated by the ghost of an ancient rebellion-starting psychopath?

And major religious figure/god, yes.

The only characters from the original Mistborn trilogy I believe may be coming back in future books are Marsh, TenSoon, and Kelsier.

Marsh and TenSoon are obvious since they are both still alive. I believe I read somewhere that Marsh was investigating the southern continent of Scadrial, and I believe that this will play a huge part in future books. He also gave the book to Marasi at the end of AoL, so there's that. TenSoon was the one who is impersonating some police officer (can't remember his name, correct me if I'm wrong), so he will have a role to play in future books.

Kelsier, on the other hand, is dead. But Brandon does everything for a reason, and I believe he kept Kelsier "hanging around" for a reason. I have no idea what he could be up to, but I am convinced he will be up to something in the future.

As much as I hate to say it, I just don't see anyone else having a reason to come back. Vin is my favorite character in the entire Cosmere, but right now she just isn't needed, and I think she deserves some much needed rest with Elend. Maybe future events will change this and the world will need some powerful Mistborn warriors, but now is not that time.

TenSoon had Kelsier's bones with him on his back, and carried them into the Homeland.

Terrispeople live in the Basin (new Homeland I think). Maybe they have the bones?
