Are we still just waiting for the tower?Also, not sure if I mentioned this already but I think Nevertheres range extends to Astoria even from Portland so she could act as a potential link between stories if necessary at any point.

Quite a bit, although given how new the MEE is there's not a whole lot of information to give. But yeah she'd divulge the nature of the MEE and its leadership pretty quickly along with a short list of Epics she knows work for them.
