Just to respond on the subject of Miles, while I agree that even if he could do something cool with his allomancy he'd be unlikely to experiment enough to try I meant more as to why Wax doesn't consider it to be a potential problem worth mentioning. So either Wax doesn't know that you can compound allomancy (Which is a pretty big deal, especially with what we've found out about his grandmother) which would mean the information would have to be extremely limited, or else he knew that Miles could but knew that it was useless but in the latter case I feel like it still should have been mentioned at some point.

So yeah, for me I just find it difficult to believe that a character as knowledgeable as Wax wouldn't know about this kind of compounding if it was this simple. He knows that the Lord Ruler compounded to achieve immortality and likely also knows that TLR was an extremely powerful allomancer so it would seem pretty likely that he'd at least speculate about it.

I think Nicrosil certainly has more potential ramifications than just allomantic compounding, particularly given how tight-lipped Brandon is about it, I just think that it also plays a part in compounding.

Well concerning Miles and his Allomancy and Wax not mentioning it this once again comes from Miles Allomantic metal: I do not think anyone(except maybe Harmony and people in the Set and assorted Worldhoppers)might think about the potential applications of Enhanced Allomantic Gold.

Now I am of the opinion Wax does not know about the Allomantic enhancement through Feruchemy, because one I think, as I have said multiple times that the information IS Extremely limited plus even if Wax's grandmother knew about it(which she possibly does)this strikes me as Something she would absolutely not share.

Also Wax does NOT know the Lord Ruler achieved his power that way he knows that LEGENDS say this is how he achieved it which is not exactly the same thing, same goes for the guy's allomantic strenght remember that entire period has faded to myth and legends.

I get that he might not have thought about it enough to guess what it might do but he if he was aware that it was a possibility he'd have to mention that there might be some kind of effect from it.

Information is limited but he's got to be the person who would seek out that kind of information, he's been fighting other metalborn for a long time now, he'd be going out of his way to learn that kind of thing (As he obviously did with Miles' compounding) plus his grandmother was trying to warn him about the dangers of combining the powers, seems like if she knew any ways in which it could be dangerous that he didn't already know then she'd use that information.

Something to keep in mind. Miles doesn't feel pain. He stabs himself in the arm without feeling it. He blows his head off with a shotgun. He hugs dynamite.

Yet burning gold, just normal gold, makes him collapse. This is literally the one thing he knows of which can hurt him. He finds utility in it, anyway, but there's absolutely no reason to assume that he's decided to experiment with the literally only thing left that can cause him pain and find out what happens if he does it REALLY, REALLY STRONG.

It makes him collapse because it's a full sensory vision. VISIONS TEND TO DO THAT IN FICTION. It doesn't cause pain. Vin collapsed while burning Gold.

No idea why you got a bunch of downvotes there. I offset one, because that's exactly how I interpreted it too.

I would say that it's due to the aggressive tone. Caps-lock-shouting can come across as a bit rude.

Well probably Miles was a Gold Savant, He had to have a great control over his Allomancy, I find unlikely he can't simply "burn low" to avoid issues with his A-Gold. Therefore probably I missed something, or the whole problem was about the vision's subject and not his intensity (like a introspective-emotional feedback).

...sorry.

Not intended to be a criticism just an explanation, it can come across like that to some people so I'd recommend avoiding it. I'm sure it wasn't your intention though.

Upvote for the "he hugs dynamite" line.

I have a theory that if you stored an attribute in the metals within your stomach, and then burned duralumin or had a Nicroburst touch you and burn nicrosil, only the Uninvested metals (the ones you didn't store an attribute in) would be used in the duralumin/nicrosil burn, allowing you to essentiall keep duralumin/nicrosil and the metal you are Reverse Compounding on at all times.
