Vivenna's cloak, just so I can sleep knowing my cloak possesses the souls of a thousand poverty-stricken peasants. 4272a5d7c43782d1db3e0607c84c015a.png

Would you rather have a picnic under an ashfall in the Final Empire, or during the Weeping on Roshar?

Weeping. I'm from Washington state, where we call several weeks of constant rain "April." After being in Arizona, a picnic during the Weeping actually sounds rather pleasant.

Would you rather be a Returned who winds up with Kaladin's boots instead of his Breath, or a Herald who is sent to the set of Barney the Dinosaur instead of their usual place of torture?

Posted

That depends... Do I still have my Honourblade? If so, Barney, so I can finally take revenge for those hours lost being forced to listen to that braized song. If not, Kaladin's boots.

Vin's childhood, or Kaladin's army career before WoK?

Vin's childhood, or Kaladin's army career before WoK?

At least Kaladin had people he could call loved ones in the world, so I'll have to pick his lot. (Though am I allowed to stab a lighteyed officer, and then die killing as many of them as I can before their guards get me?)

Would you rather let Wit insult you for one hour, or have your rep changed to "Zucchini" on the 17th Shard?

I'd go with Wit's insults. From what I've seen, his insults are all in good fun, and with Shallan and Kaladin at least, he gives pretty good advice. (Unless it turned out he had a reason to make his insults mean, in which case I'd go with "Zucchini."

Would you rather be continually surrounded by spren that betrayed your every thought and emotion, or followed by Wit who did the same?

Spren, because it would be hilarious to see my cats swatting at them.

Would you rather tend a raised bed full of brown Final Empire plants, or a raised bed full of carnivorous rockbuds from Alethkar?

Is that a choice? I would pay to have Wit do that.

Be a parshman for a month, Or a pre-Raoden Elantrian for a week?

Dang it, got ninja'd

I would go with The Scadrial brown plants. But preferably neither one. I hate gardening. <_<

Elantrian for a week, because I know it will be over in a week.

Would you rather be a Returned, or a Fullborn?

Fullborn more useful and I don't have to worry about eating my own soul.

Would you rather have Nightblood or an Honorblade?

Depends if I get a Spren with the honorblade then honorblade if not then nightblood.

Edit: I'd go for a cryptic, I like pattern more then syl.

Elendel houselord or Alethkar brightlord(like shallan's father.)

Slaveform. Then I might be able to choose a form (scholarform!) instead of having to stay in Stormform or something.

Would you rather get stuck in a room for two hours with Straff Venture or Sadeas?

Posted

I'd take both. They'd either get along exceptionally well and talk over and around me, or spend so much time bickering and sniping back and forth that they ignored me completely. I'm good at tuning people out, so I could get some reading done.

Would you rather have to compete in a full disadvantaged duel against four Shardbearers, or a partially disadvantaged duel against two listeners in Stormform?

Posted (edited)

Shardbearers. They'd probably finish me faster, and might have a concept of honour that would let me go free.

Fight a whitespine unarmed or almost -but not quite- live long enough on bridge 4 to gain your freedom?

Since one of those has a 99% chance of death and the other option is literally death with no chance of survival, I'll go with the whitespine. Besides, I'm good with animals. :P

Would you rather be Steelheart's barber or the Lord Ruler's masseuse?

Posted

I'm going to go with Steelheart's barber. Sure, I have about as much experience hairdressing as I do with aerospace engineering (0, I mean) but Steelheart doesn't seem too vain about his hair. So I could probably just trim the split ends and call it good, and since I value my life, I would never give him the dreaded bowl cut. Anyway, Steelheart probably doesn't need very frequent haircuts, so I could avoid him....whereas The Lord Ruler probably demands frequent massages.

Would you rather be a Radiant who was forced to use a dead Shardblade as a kitchen utensil for a month, resulting in screams every time you wanted toast; or an Oculator with bad eyesight who couldn't put any Lenses over their glasses, and therefore couldn't see when using them?

Posted

Babaji. If they actually were interested, then they'd stop spamming the forums. If not, then I'd spoil the books for someone who didn't care. Oh well...

Would you rather have Nightblood or Calamity in your hands right now, knowing that you would never be able to know what happened in the other one (ala shshshshshsh)?

First off, this is the most wicked question I've seen on this thread yet, so shame on you. :o:P

I think I'd have to go with Calamity, because as a member of the Reckoners RPG my weak heart would shatter if I could never read the final installment in the trilogy.

Major WoR spoilers:

Besides, I could at least continue reading the adventures of Vasher and Nightblood in the Stormlight Archive.

Would you rather possess the ability to predict Brandon's plot twists, or upvote posts multiple times on the forum?

Spike Kobold. I have no use for the banhammer. Not that I have any use for all the upvotes either, but they look pretty, the banhammer is just a bunch of responsibility.

Fullborn, all ten surges or enough breaths to make Susebron jealous?

Breath. Those are pretty op when you get up there.

Would you rather know what the rest of the Hemalurgic spikes steal or know what the rest of the surges do?

Posted

Hemalurgic spikes...because I think they're going to ultimately have more Cosmere-wide implications than the surges will. And then the Denizens of the Dark Alley would need to find new things to research!

Would you rather eat chull dung stew or lick a chasm wall for 15 seconds?
