There is no story. Kobold meets girl. Kobold and girl fall in love. Kobold learns girl is a horrific nightmare-queen from the nether dimension. Kobold breaks up with girl after the fourth time he catches her devouring the souls of orphans. Girl reproduces asexually and names her clone "Shiny the Succubus." Kobold vehemently denies said succubus being his daughter, but it's too late. Now Kobold pays childcare bills and has to perform a ritual sacrifice to the Black Spirit of the Lagoon to keep up the housekeeping.

 

Moral of this story: dump your girlfriend the first time you catch her devouring orphans.

Don't you remember the part where she stole part of your essence for said reproduction or did you simply not notice? Kings are very sought after subjects for such a procedure. Strenghtens the line and all that.

I just happened to wonder how Regalia would get along with our female overlords, Lucentia and Rainmaker. Twi, as the president of the "Regalia's only reason for not kicking puppies is that she can't kick things" club, what do you think?

I'm not sure if Vondra is the kind of guy to employ assassins. He seems more the kind of guy that prefers open conflict, you know in the if rifles don't do the trick, throw a tank at it kind of way.

Oh yeah and I didn't do the Metal yet. That guy would probably be some kind of titan or otherwise insanely powerful magical being. Maybe turn him into a full on beastly creature to shake things up a bit.

Go, go and save those puppies! Hm, I dunno, weirdly I don't feel like trying to find out either, as that would include giving her something she wants.

 

The half-naked "dangerous" guy that permanently carries around knives? No that doesn't exactly sound like someone he'd recruit. He prefers clothes. On a more serious note he is very interested in his squad having a calming/balancing nature, so while dangerous is a rather vague description it does sound like someone that's to agressive to fit the mold.

A laid back surfer dude might fit but I only really have the words "very dangerous" describing his personality from Veture, so I might be able to make a better judgement with more info or a preview post but as is, I can't really say that he would suit the position.

That way to ruin enhance Arsenal's morning however is mandatory.

 

Depends on how we do it I'd say. I don't think we could pull of a spin of like this on the same way we do other topics, as the temptation to including the alternative version of all our characters would lead to overloading some people and the topic (okay, so this may be biased by me wanting to be a part of it but I'd say I'm allowed some bias as the guy that came up with the idea. ). With a more plot driven set-up, limiting everyone to maybe on or two main characters and other AUs only being NPCs of varied importance and someone fulfilling a more standart GM role to control the current antagonist (for example the Shiny Succubus) (the role might switch between story arcs) we should be able to pull it of... or alternatively just a couple of WHOOC posts.

I didn't intent her to be a major antagonist, so I doubt it but I didn't intent her to be succubus either, so she might get yet another upgrade.   She may also be the demon that tainted Jack if we want to connect things but I'm already starting to plot event, I see. I'm still throwing ideas around, so I haven't decided yet. It could be the first story arc, backstory only touched on in flashbacks ect or backstory that comes up in game when their paths cross again.

You know I don't like to squash fun, but would't it be a little weird to introduce an AU Jack before the canon version has ever shown up? Not that I'm necessarily opposed. Just seems a little weird.

*shrug* We could think of it as a teaser... or take longer to plan this than the next day of the Dalles needs to arrive. Afterall once that happens his introduction post is already written. He just fits the role so well.

Not sure. Possibly a more fiery presence than the Empire has in Portland, since fantasy!Lightwards might be able to acquire skeletal dragons for his army.

And we already have two major evil overlords, Lightwards and Lucentia. It seems that this AU might not be better of than the normal Reckonerverse.

 

On a completely unrelated note, I just found out that Square Enix made some DC based action figures. Their Joker still looks better than a certain movies one.

Mark Hamill is the standard, people. All Jokers must be measured by how they live up to it. Reinterpretations are allowed and encouraged, but it's the feel of the costume that matters. Heath Ledger? Excellent. This picture? Also excellent. Jared Leto? Well, he tried.
