I'll give my answer when I hear some other opinions on this question.:P

Perhaps we should ask the traditional Joker what he would do to them.

I'm not sure, if she would manage to attract a spren given how much they like their oaths, certainly not an Elsecaller one, which would fit her current powers best. Maybe a more openminded spren like the Cryptics would take her, then she's at least keep keep the Soulcasting, or one that we haven't seen yet but I wouldn't count on it. Which would all in all leave her a bit screw at least in Vorin society.

Or did you mean for other characters?

Kill them and dress up their corpses, probably.

PP would be the wondering wizard who disappears halfway through the second act and still has yet to be seen again :P

Well he came back as PP the morally corrupt, then PP the completely nuts and now the PP of currently unknown character because he went to bed several months ago and still hasn't woken up :P

We need a PSA for new arrivals.

A CHARACTER BEING PUT ON ICE FOR MONTHS AT A TIME ISN'T NORMAL. BUT ON SLEEP IT IS.

SLEEP. NOT EVEN ONCE.

I think if we're issuing PSA's we really need to mention Nighthound in there somewhere.

IN CASE OF NIGHTHOUND, OPEN SPOILER.

There are a lot of dangers in Oregon. Nighthound is worse than almost all of them.

If you see Nighthound, run. Then call the Reckoners.

I'm having trouble coming up with any others.

So today, my siblings and I were at the mall, and—long story short—we each picked a hat from a nearby display. My sister chose a blue tweed-style fedora, my brother chose a straw work hat, and I chose….

….that.

I am Doctor Funtimes. -_-

Edit: Kobold, can you tell me where to find all of those pug puppies?

I'm still waiting for the day when you throw sanity to the winds and start wearing a glittery prom dress as a permanent Funtimes cosplay. :P:lol:

Um. Pinterest?

Oh, please. That'll never happen. I haven't found any prom dresses that fit the bill yet. :P

Hurm. I was hoping to pet them.

I wish. Sadly, it was JC Penney, and JC Penney isn't known for being terribly fashion-forward. :P

When Calamity rises I shall ensure that all stores stock appropriate hatwear.

That is, more or less, a plot point in Minions.

And suddenly we are adorable. Now, big and important question, wich Epic would the Minions follow?

And suddenly we are adorable. Now, big and important question, wich Epic would the Minions follow?

Tough question, partly because their goal is to work for the biggest "boss" out there….and partly because the "big boss" they work for in the movie is practically an Epic. Seriously. She has….

  • an emotionally scarring backstory
  • hints that the emotionally scarring backstory isn't as tongue-in-cheek as it seems
  • impossible reflexes AND impossible hand-to-hand combat skills
  • a need to be taken completely seriously
  • a penchant for deadly tantrums when things don't go her way

Though if they came to Oregon, it's really hard to tell. They'd probably go for one of the more overlord types—Lucentia, Lightwards, Altermind, CorpseMaker, Rainmaker or Soulcaster—though I think Vondra would also be in the running, despite him not being a supervillain or even an Epic. I can also see them going along with Funtimes, but all of the power struggles in the Empire—not to mention the power struggles between the Empire, Altermind, and CorpseMaker—would just confuse them. So they'd probably go for someone who is clearly and unequivocally the "big boss" of their area, meaning Rainmaker or Vondra.

So I'm going to say Vondra, because the thought of him surrounded and served by the Minions is funny to me.

To be fair, did you watch despicable me? Gru could very well be an Epic that faced his fear.

I think Corpsemaker with the minions would be funny (plus Corpsemaker is awesome  ) but you are right, the whole turf war would make that a problem and as such Rainmaker or Vondra would be more likely... if we stay in Oregon.

But it just hit me, the biggest boss in the FSA is clearly Obliteration. (Unless Nightwielder is an even bigger badchull.) So yeah, the Minions are now working for Obliteration.

I did, but I hadn't thought of it that way…until now. Adopting those girls led him to face quite a few fears from childhood, if his flashbacks are any indication.

Yeesh. You read two Reckoners books and you start seeing Epics everywhere.

...

I was going to ask if Obliteration would even be able to understand their language, since from what we've seen, not everyone can. But then I made a quick mental list of everyone who has been shown to understand the Minions….

  • Gru (post-fear Epic)
  • A small-time gang the Minions meet (low-tier Epics)
  • Scarlet Overkill (Epic)
  • Her husband Herb (probably an Epic)
  • Possibly Vector (Epic Epic Epic)

So yes, being an Epic, Obliteration would be able to understand his Minions.

:o I just figured it out, the minions are Calamity's actual children. Alright so maybe I am seeing a bit too much Reckoner in everything.

It seems like we have certainly an explanation why Obliteration started grilling food on his own abs, the Minions asked him to do so. :P

Dare I ask who the mother is?:P

"[Minion gibberish]"

"Why….no, I hadn't interpreted that passage in that way. But is it really necessary to cook half the burgers well and half to a perfect medium-rare?"

"[More gibberish]"

"You're right. If the prophecy is to be properly fulfilled, we must have pineapple rings. Dave. Run to the store."

"[Gibberish]"

"*sigh* Very well. And purchase fourteen pounds of cookie dough, too."

Well before David killed him they would certainly have gone for Steelheart.

Who, Vondra? Please, he's an immortal fantasy pope. :P

I thought about that as well but the Minions really don't fit Steelheart's style, at all.

Gru was okay, so I think Vondra would be fine. ;)

I'm trying and failing to picture that.

If anything Vondra will turn them into a Minion army more like the ones out of the Overlord games than the ones from the movie.

He'd probably tell them to "guard" Conflux, to keep them out of sight and make sure they don't lighten the mood. No Obliteration would care much better for them.
