Mistrunner grants awkwardspren to all who have asked to join.

"You have now a great responsibility. There are many who have succumbed to the terrible bane of popularity. We must show them the light of being awkward. And no spiking other members, Alleywatchers."

I humbly request to be appointed the position of Theoryweaver.

Books before friends.

17th Shard before the real world.

Release dates before birthdays.

I will speculate even if there is nothing to speculate upon

I will ask the questions which have not been asked

I will connect that which has not been connected

I believe this would grant me control over the Surges of Insanity and Debate.

I doubt I'll RP and stuff, but I am DEFINITELY joining. I'd like to see anyone, Herald of Justice or no, try and stop me.

Books before friends.

17th Shard before the real world.

Release dates before birthdays.

I will not fail to recognize the Reconerverse in spite of the Cosmere.

(Do I swear all of them now or wait?)

Whenever you are ready to say the Words, you may speak them.

Of course, with the levels of awkwardness in our members, some may never.

As Axies wandered down the streets of... nice try, he's not giving away his location THAT easily... as he wandered down the streets, a sign caught his eye. It read "The Knights Awkward. Inquisite(ors) within." He entered the building, moving as silently as he had at 6 AM the previous night.    Books... before friends. Wait. Where had those words come from? They entered his mind, at first softly, then more insistently. "Books... before friends? That is wrong on sooooo many levels." Axies exclaimed. "First of all, wouldn't you have to have friends to put stuff before them? I mean, really. The words began to grow quieter, as if being driven away. "No! I didn't mean it! Come back! Books before friends. 17th shard before the real world. Release dates before birthdays. What could they mean? Books before friends... journey before destination..." Suddenly Axies realized what a fool he was being. "BOOKS BEFORE FRIENDS! 17TH SHARD BEFORE THE REAL WORLD! RELEASE DATES BEFORE BIRTHDAYS!" Then Axies realized that a crowd of people were standing in the room. Yup, he'd made a fool of himself again. This time, however, would be different. He turned back toward them, strengthened his nerve, and entered the crowd. "I am Axies, also known as Seixa, also known as Sienene! I will read all Brandon, even if it is not Cosmere! I will... I will..." Axies stopped, awkwardly. He couldn't tel what the next words should be. "I will go sit down now..."

Offering cookies is frowned upon. At least, for those not in the Alleywatchers. It's kind of what they do.

So, a humble Quipsmiths cannot follow in his herald's footsteps, collecting as much Investiture as possible?

Posted

Do us Knights Awkward have our Herald speaking to us in our mind? But the only way we can communicate back is talk out loud? That would be really awkward in a room full of a bunch of people. Which, of course, is the only time our herald contacts us. Of course.

Axies nodded. "That corroborates with my experiences." He then tripped over his own feet and fell.

I respond by accidentally slipping, knocking over a bookcase, which breaks open a wall, and a passerby is so surprised, she throws a pie at my face. Ha. Beat that.

I would like to join this group.

Books before Friends

17th Shard before the Real World

Release Dates before Birthdays

I would like to add, one more

Sanderson Elimination before Homework

I pledge allegiance to the knights Awkward

As awkward as this may sound, in the present company, I have never actually played Sanderson elimination. Can anyone give me some starting tips?

Dive in and prepare to die would be good advice for Sanderson Elimination. That's what I did, and I've had fun with it.

Signed up to the long game 30 seconds before I saw your post. Maybe I'm a precog epic

Edit: Sorry to derail the topic, I'll try to stay on topic now.

Phoenix walks out of the corner to see all the new Knights, but stumbles over his shoe laces and decides to just go back into the corner.

Semi-on topic. New awkward thing happened. Signed up for the Sanderson elimination. Talked about it for an hour with my brother. Gets posted on the thread that the game had started last night, and they'd just forgotten to lock the thread. Ups.

I think this means...... First Ideal Time! (insert random and embarrasing theme music here)

Books before friends/anything.

17th Shard before the real world/anything.

Release dates before birthdays/anything.

And then, just to cement my position:          Because hey, why not.

THE KNIGHTS AWKWARD WILL RISE AGAIN

Echo slipped in through the doorway and stopped in front of mistrunner. She looked down and muttered,

"Books before friends

17th Shard before the real world

Release dates before birthdays"

She was very clearly uncomfortable in the middle of the room, and so she hastily finished and said,

"I will read that which has not been read

I will stay silent amongst many words

I will enjoy without being upvoted."

Echo slunk into an unoccupied corner and sat down to wait, face burning. She had stumbled on the first couple of words. Fortunately, hardly anybody had noticed her in the first place, just like she wanted.

Mistrunner looks up from her book. "Oh- people- oh," she says, peering out from behind her glasses. "Um, welcome to the Knights Awkward. There's a lot of people here, aren't there..." she trails off and returns to hiding behind her book.

Well, I'd join up, but I'm not sure if I quite "fit" any of your orders. Still, good luck when the Repstorm cometh.

(I mean, I guess rep equals popularity, maybe?)
