Mistrunner Posted June 2, 2015 Author Posted June 2, 2015 Mistrunner looks up from her books distractedly. "Oh- person- hello," she says. "Um- yes. Of course. Speak ye the words and... yeah..." She disappears behind her stack again awkwardly. 1

Elithanathile he/him Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 Do you know which surges correspond to which orders?
Redbird he/him Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 While I won't join, I really like the Alleywatcher order, any idea what kind of surges they might have? Maybe cookie giving and something else.
Curious Anamaximder he/him Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 (edited) Oh, yes the Alley- Watchers. Here is the list of Orders and Surges: Oregonbreakers: Shipping and Oregonbreaking Shipwards: Quipping and Shipping Referencecaller: WoB Remebering and Avoiding Social Life Theoryweavers: Theorizing and Speculating Alley-Watchers: Converting and Avoiding Social Life Forum Lurkers: Mumbling and WoB Remembering Quipsmiths: Quipping and Speculating Theorydancers: Rereading and Theorizing Convertshapers: Converting and Mumbling Edited June 3, 2015 by Venture Mistborn 3
Curiosity he/him Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 Why do we have Theorydancers and Theoryweavers? Aren't they essentially the same?
Bort he/him Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 Avoiding Social Life is only on there once, probably replaced by the third Quipping. Or, instead of Edgereaders, what about Blurbreaders?
Curious Anamaximder he/him Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 Okay. I will edit the 3rd Quipping to be Avoiding Social Life.
Mistrunner Posted June 3, 2015 Author Posted June 3, 2015 Also, blurbreaders looks a bit like blur breaders, and though breaded chicken is all very tasty and good, it isn't quite our intent.
Mistrunner Posted June 9, 2015 Author Posted June 9, 2015 One who breads blurbs. Makes them tastier, I suppose. 1
KaladinStormblessed he/him Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 Revan Karrde did some random stuff and then magically was all like, "I'm too awkward to type normal things. I need a place to go where my awkwardness will be accepted." Then, he Randomly blurted out, "BOOKS BEFORE FRIENDS 17TH SHARD BEFORE THE REAL WORLD RELEASE DATES BEFORE BIRTHDAYS"
Mistrunner Posted June 10, 2015 Author Posted June 10, 2015 Mistrunner suddenly feels a wave of awkwardness wash over her. "A new Knight has said an oath..." she mutters. She waves an awkward hand, allowing an Awkwardspren to bond with Revan Karrde.
KamorianKandra he/him Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 (edited) Kamorian hesitantly walks into the room, attempting to both stare at his feet and the hundreds of books that line the walls. As he approaches the throne covered in books, he silently murmurs "shshshshsh." He then clears his throat and repeats, "what exactly does a guild do?" Edited June 10, 2015 by KamorianKandra 1
Mistrunner Posted June 10, 2015 Author Posted June 10, 2015 Mistrunner peers out from behind her suitcase packed with books. She clears her throat, coughs, then says "I- um - well, some of the others do things differently, but we read books. Mostly. Right now we're searching for a 25th anniversary edition of Elantris, though most people are still reading or posting on 17th Shard. You wouldn't happen to have it, would you?" she asks hopefully.
acatnamedkaren she/her Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 (edited) Karen awkwardly peers into the room. "Hello...? I'd like to join...?" Then she knocks down a bunch of books. "Wait...is that the book you're looking for?" Edited June 10, 2015 by acatnamedkaren 1

Mistrunner Posted June 10, 2015 Author Posted June 10, 2015 Karen awkwardly peers into the room. "Hello...? I'd like to join...?" Then she knocks down a bunch of books. "Wait...is that the book you're looking for?" "I... am not sure. The only clue as to its whereabouts is this slip of paper. It has an address and a name on it." She gestures to a scrap of paper on the floor. "Well, I do kind've have acess to a... um... w-well, a rather fine time machine. N-not that I know how to use it of course, but..." At this Kamorian trails off nervously and stares back down at his feet. Mistrunners eyes widen. "Is it a TARDIS?!" she asks. Yes. Yes it does.
Peng the Just he/him Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 Books before friends. 17th Shard before the real world. Release dates before birthdays. I will convert those who are not I will convince those without to buy two copies I will loan my extras to anyone without.
Mistrunner Posted June 10, 2015 Author Posted June 10, 2015 And thus Jasonpenguin joined the Knights Awkward.
KamorianKandra he/him Posted June 11, 2015 Posted June 11, 2015 (edited) Mistrunners eyes widen. "Is it a TARDIS?!" she asks. "No," Kamorian responds sadly. "Just a regular everyday time machine." After standing there silently for a moment, Kamorian makes a stunning announcement. "I l-lied about the time machine. It doesn't exist. I thought you would let me join the Knights Awkward if I had one. I'm s-so sorry. Please forgive me," Kamorian says, as unrealistic amounts of tears flow from his eyes. He then runs over into an unoccupied corner of the room and holds his head in his arms, being careful to not get tears on any of the books. Note: Sorry, that was awkward. ChullRider he/him Posted June 11, 2015 Posted June 11, 2015 So, just a question, what happens if, hypothetically, one of your friends/relatives has a birthday on a release date?
acatnamedkaren she/her Posted June 11, 2015 Posted June 11, 2015 This is an awkward time but I guess..... Books before friends. 17th Shard before the real world. Release dates before birthdays. I will convert those who are not I will convince those without to buy two copies I will loan my extras to anyone without So, just a question, what happens if, hypothetically, one of your friends/relatives has a birthday on a release date? My cousin has a birthday on shadows of self's release date. (10/6) Guess what I'll be doing that day.
Bort he/him Posted June 11, 2015 Posted June 11, 2015 So, just a question, what happens if, hypothetically, one of your friends/relatives has a birthday on a release date? You throw them a release party, with release day cake, and release day gifts.
KaladinStormblessed he/him Posted June 11, 2015 Posted June 11, 2015 Revan Karrde peers into the room full of books, walks in, and trips on thin air. Blushing, he gets up and shouts a bit too loudly, "Hi, I'm Reva-Kaladin. I guess you can call me kaladin er...something else if you want too, but...yeah. I'm wondering what do we do here once we've joined." He then proceeded to flail his arms about until he crossed them in what could be the most awkward looking position ever executed. 1
