WOOOOOOT! Sub-Forum!

So, I have a few questions about the deathnote rules:

  1. are there Shinigami?
  2. what happens if the spheremorph loses the deathnote, but not the formsphere?
  3. how would you handle the loss of half of a PC's life?
  4. Is there going to be a Light or L cameo?
  5. do shinigami, if they exist, like apples?

other than that, Nexus FTW!

1. Yes, each Death Note user has a Shinigami follow them around, even when not in Death Note form.

2. It will come back to them once they shift back into the Form, it's treated like any other tool.

3. Well, it seems to be more of a metaphysical thing. They die of whatever kills them, just that that date moves up by half the time. It just makes that character more likely to kick the bucket. If they take stupid risks, that'll catch up with them that much sooner.

4. No, but I described the appearance of the Form such that the user would sort of dress like Light.

5. They're as likely to like apples as any Shinigami.

While the Death Note user will have a Shinigami following them all the time, they can only make the eye deal while in Form, and can only use the eyes in Form.

Hm, that is interesting.

I literally had nightmares of being RAFO'ed, last night. :o

RAFO'd about the RP? That's an odd thing to have nightmares about.

I don't get it either. In the dream I look at your answers and they were:

  1. RAFO
  2. RAFO
  3. RAFO
  4. RAFO
  5. RAFO

and I was like: ohmy.gifohmy.gifohmy.gifohmy.gif...sad.gifsad.gifsad.gif

and then you came through my computer looking like Light with a DeathNote and I was like: huh.gif...blink.gif...ohmy.gif

and then you were like: tongue.giftongue.giftongue.giftongue.gif...laugh.gif" I know your name!"

and then there was Matrix raining code on my computer screen.

Then I woke up.

Do you even know what I look like? That's freaking weird, but also hilarious. Take 5 AWESOME POINTS for your trouble.

No I don't. take this and this with a little bit of this.

That is sort of what you looked like.

Anyway, are you going to post on the story thread?

Yeah, I'm being nice. You would never get this kind of treatment from another GM. A lot of them consider the PCs the enemy. Which on some level is true, but in general I don't think so.

personally, as a GM, i view the players as toys to amuse me. Combatting and Killing them is easy, simply because you have infinitely more resources at your disposal, and isn't much fun. It's all about how they squirm. Though, despite saying that, all in all, i'm a relatively benevolent GM, despite presenting them with the occasional ludicrous situation

Holy... wow, Silus, you really put some serious thought into the pieces that make up a Spheremorph.

So confused by the different types of Fuser... and that's just one piece.

Making one of these is going to be an adventure in and of itself. Well done.

Oh, I try. And actually, Fuser's have been in my head for most of the time Nexus has been going. If you knew the kind of awesome stuff I'm thinking. Wow. This tech has some staggering potential.

EDIT: I'll put the different types of Fusers into the Data Topic for you guys to peruse.

so, question. would an Amalgam Form gain any additional abilities? Like if I put that Fuser I got between Gunner and Shaman, would I get any abilities like, I don't know, Fire Shot? or could I just use Coldfire to see where I'm shooting better?

Theorycrafting, yay!

Silus, did you have to throw a crying man at Ambro. How did you know that would go through his shell into the creamy center. laugh.gif

Anyway, in some stories, powers are limited to a certain gender. I am working on one and will post one later.

Conditions to use Forms, like gender, are totally cool. I had that in mind from the beginning and may put one up once I remember to write it.

Oh, I felt Ambro should be messed with after his encounter with the merchant. :D

Ambro's little used conscience: "I TOLD you so!"

Ambro: "Oops."

Hmm, I am going to need to think on this one. You put Ambro in a very interesting conundrum; I wasn't originally planning on having Ambro be evil (chalk it up to a character running away from his creator). If Eerongal would have been around, he would have immediately tried to fix things (Eerongal intimidates Ambro), but trying to do the "right" thing now would be out of character.

question on Fusers that wouldn't apply to me. on Eerongal's Glorious Sunburst (or something like it), would the Fused Form become part of the Baseline? because otherwise I'm not seeing any way to make an amalgam Form.

Also, I'm planning on putting the Fuser between my Shaman and gunner Spheres, so I was thinking of abilities like so:

Fire Shot (from Rapid shot and Fire)

Seeker Shot (from Finding {"find the head of the nearest enemy} and Aim, incurs Mageprice)

Precise Throw (dagger proficiency with Precision Shot)

Blinding Shot (Coldfire and Charged Shot, would temporarily blind like a bright light)

Would these be overstepping the abilities of an amalgam Form?

This is the form, i have another form (also only for women) put that one needs more work.

Form Name: Claymore

Form Source: Manga (Claymore)

Form Description: Claymores are women with half-human and half-monster bodies. This changes the human's hair to a light-blond or white, their eyes to silver, and sometimes they develop elf-like ears. Each claymore weilds a sword larger than any normal person could carry.

Form Abilities:

^stronger than typical humans

^enhanced healing ability

^extreme speed

^a Claymore is not affected by extreme heat or cold

Yoma Body: limited ability to shapeshift (i.e. fingers to claws, horse legs to run, scaled skin for protection)

^Swordsmanship: Claymores are masters with the sword.

Yoki: Claymores have the ability to utilize Demonic energy to enhance their normal capabilities

Sense Essence: ability to detect sources of energy surrounding the claymore, the distance varies between Claymores

Form Weaknesses:

*Claymores have a low pain threshold

*Whenever a Claymore uses Yoki, there is a chance that she will be consumed with bloodlust and hunger, turning into a demon.

*Claymores can only be women.

*claymores are infertile.

*Claymores become disconnected with their humanity.

*a Claymore Form cannot be put on the same grid as a form that changes the Spheremorph into a non-humanoid Form.

Form Speciation: base

As for the story, well, i feel sorry for the guy but...

EDIT: No. Ambro won't kill everyone he meets, in more lawful cities Ambro will be less homicidal and more paranoid and silent.

Just as a note, i'm really looking forward to how Eerongal and Ambro end up getting along in the same party. They're so completely polar opposites, it's gonna be awesome.
