I was trying to decide between the Emperors Soul and The Alloy of Law. I read the Mistborn trilogy before Elantris. Master_Moridin he/him Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 I believe they technically aren't the "same storyline" (if I'm somehow wrong on that please someone correct me), but they are on the same planet. 1

I haven't read it yet, but from what I've seen others say the "Stamp" that has to be made is actually a representation of the local landmass, like how an Aon is a drawing of the local lands. Same magic, same basic access method (draw land forms), but completely different method and result.

You can quite literally program a whole human mind into the stamp, like you can do specified healing with aons or how aon teleportation requires precise vector coordinates. . . . yeah I think Shai just built an AI from scratch. The "finishing mark" that Shai carves into her stamps is a Dor-representation of her homeland, MaiPon. Beyond that, the continent of Sycla is mentioned, Jindo is mentioned as a people who are very phenotypically similar to Shai's fellow MaiPonese, books in Svordish are mentioned. I believe that's all of them.
