So satisfying when that pug breaks down the door and squishes that guy's stupid face.

And now if anyone ever makes fun of the Reckoners RPG for its ponies, we can point out that one of the admins has made and posted a pony comic. And that it was hilarious. :D

mail-mi hasn't been completely converted yet.

It probably won't happen. But you may try.

Dude, I said the exact same thing. And yet I woke up early on a Saturday so that I could watch a live stream of the newest MLP episode on the brony forums. They'll get you.

Also keep in mind that Converter ALREADY has a PI - reincarnation.  Giving her two (which is what a danger-sense triggered blanket protection would be), would raise her to the level of Prof, whom David seems to think is VERY overpowered (and he is).

Also, we already know her powers don't work as a blanket from her prologue.  There, she was blocking bullets in front of her, ones that she knew were coming, but failed to block one that shot her from behind.  She can be taken by surprise.  Otherwise she would never use her reincarnation power.

EDIT:  Also, I love the Cornucopia post.  I think I'll wait for Converter to respond before posting with Rainmaker.  Then we will see what happens next.

well it isn't active all the time. It would be the same as Steelheart using wing to blow attacks away- it isn't a second PI, just using a secondary power for defense.

Behold the most powerful Epic of all!

Except for how the wind would affect everything coming close, assuming Steelheart had that level of control, and not selectively some stuff and not the other while being active over time.

that is true, making it a bad analogy, however, I do think Steelheart would have that level of control- if he can fly perfectly with just wind, and lift thing with little whirlwinds, then I think he can create a blanket gust of wind away from him. Although, not all over him at once, since that would leave just a void without air around him.

I think I agree with you though, the mechanics of this sound incredibly weird to even make sense, and seem to fall a bit outside what her powers were originally described as.

However, the fact that she has absorbed the energy from bullets (that she could see coming) means she has to be able to "mentally" set her power to absorb energy before it touches her. Like raising a shield when you see an archer firing an arrow.

Alternatively Silver could just default to the original "absorbs all energy nearby thing", but perhaps with slight alterations- absorbs all energy starting from a few inches from the skin (maintaining her clothes) and a few small gaps in the field around her mouth so she can breath.

@Silver: I would recommend doing that.

I wonder if Cornucopia could make pug-plants.

an interesting thought. Could she make people-plants if she buries someone? O.o Matrix-style?

This prompted the rather disturbing image of Cornucopia burying a body to hide evidence only to accidentally create a zombie army.

Rainmaker: Why are there ZOMBIES.... in my CITY?

Chase: CORNUCOPIA DID IT!

Cornucopia:.... well.... not on purpose

I had this idea for an Epic that I want to incorporate somewhere but I can't figure out where....

Name: Ordnance/Barrage

Primary Power: Creates a large blast of energy capable of completely destroying an area roughly the size of a house block. Can make bigger blasts with extra concentration and time between them, but not smaller ones. These blasts are orange/yellow in appearance, about the size of a car, act like solid objects (gravity acts upon them in a way it doesn't other energy), and explode upon impact to the aforementioned house-block size. Depending on the time O/B takes to fire each blast, they can have ranges going from one kilometre to 20.

Secondary Power: Focused Spacial Awareness: O/B has a rough spacial awareness of all objects within a 20 degree angle of vision wherever he is looking. Picture his eyes as laser-pointers, and 10 degrees to either side of the lasers he has awareness of. The range of this "sight" is 20 kilometres.

Tertiary Power: Teleportation: He can teleport up to 1 kilometre away in an instant, and has to recharge for 30 seconds after every teleportation.

Weakness: Small, enclosed spaces- if he cannot stretch his arms and legs as far out as they can go in any direction, he will lose his powers: Was abused as a child, and frequently locked in a tiny cupboard by his overly strict, cruel parents. One time he nearly suffocated to death until he managed to break his way out. In his Rending, blew up his house with his parents inside and levelled his whole block.

Modus Operandi: Bombarding cities and towns from a safe distance and teleporting away before anyone can retaliate. If the town doesn't have an Epic scary enough to drive him away, he will keep going until every building in the city is levelled.

I just like the idea of having a living, Epic artillery piece. And I can't decide whether Ordnance or Barrage is a better name.

Just saw the new Avengers movie, both good and bad points but definitely worth a watch and the bad points are only if you're particularly invested in the original lore.

I haven't seen it, but I definitely want to. And since I know absolutely nothing about the original lore, I doubt I'd notice if Ultron turns out to be Iron Man's father or whatever. :P

Well I don't like to spoil anything but... :P
