Wahb.

@Kaymyth, thank you for introducing the term "brain weasels" to the 17th Shard. It's been very helpful.

Hooray!  I contributed!

I saw Boris live. I'm still kind of mindblown, not to speak of my ears still ringing.

Have this picture I took of the guitarist.

@Zathoth  That's really cool! Japanese experimental rock is interesting to say the least. You were really close up, what was the venue?

Reminds me of some of the pictures I took at the Dawes concert (spoilered for huge and sideways):

A bar in the middle of nowhere dedicated to heavy music. It is a pretty cozy place for a bar, even for someone who doesnt drink or know how to talk to people.

Atlas Obscura's new podcast, Horizon Line, is pretty storming fantastic.

I know nothing about any of these things.

How would you pitch them?

Atlas Obscura is a website dedicated to exploring locations and attractions that are off the beaten path, telling stories about history that you probably haven't heard before. Search for things near Washington State, and you'll get Mel's Hole, Spokane's garbage-eating metal goat, and the recording studio that Nirvana used. They've featured stories about Victorian mourning practices and outsiders who joined the Amish.

Horizon Line is a podcast that tells the stories of adventurers. Their first episode tells the story of S.A. Andree's doomed attempt to sail to the North Pole in a hot air balloon. It's a tragic story, but the narrator captures the enthusiasm of its star, pointing out that "It's only crazy until it works."

I saw a store called Hitler Reloaded, here in Pakistan :/

heh.

Reloaded...XD

That sounds like a very very not good thing. Consider reloaded = rearmed and I'm more than overjoyed that Hitler is dead. Besides which naming anything after him is plain distasteful.

What was sold at this place?

I thought of it as hitler reloading the gun he used to kill himself with.

Oh the usual, shirts, fake nike shoes, tiger skins.

My car would not start with a new battery and I was worried it would be a big car bill, because its always a big bill when it comes to car repairs. It turns out, after calling a friend, the wire that connects the battery to the car was a little loose. I just had to press down for the ignition to work. I need to tighten it with tools, but this works for the short term. So I'm excited I don't have to deal with a car repair shop...I always feel taken advantage of whenever I have to go there.

Not having to go to a repair shop is always a good thing. I'd suggest checking if it needs to be cleaned too, btw, if you're going to have a wrench to tighten it back down.

I forgot how much fun The Jabberwocky is to read aloud.

Sometimes I just start speaking it randomly. :P  It's so much fun.   I had to memorize it a couple years back for a public speaking class.  Most fun I had in that class.

:D
