Three braid, yup, nothing else fancy though, and I make it myself :D

I once learned how to do 6-braid but I'm not sure I entirely remember it. I saw this great recipe where you mix in chocolate too....at some point it stops being bread and starts being cake though.

I just put a bunch of loaves of Challah in the oven!! :D I'm not Jewish, but I love the bread so much that I make it a lot anyway. I like to give it away because of how pretty it is.

After I saw this post I just sat here for a few minutes, perplexed because I was sure I had never heard of a food called Challah, yet the sound of the word was familiar for some reason...

Then I realized that chala is Kitai's term of endearment for Tavi in Jim Butcher's Codex Alera books. My brain is weird.

Nah, just a nerd brain. :P. Look up Challah, then find somewhere to eat some. It's delicious. :)

For the last couple of days I wrote in the Bad Day thread about Tobi, our little kitten that got sick, was diagnosed with dangerous diseases and generally caused us a lot of fear and worry. After intense battle for his health, visiting multiple doctors and spending a lot of money, we can now say that Tobi is fine! ^_^ He still has to take some injections with antibiotics, but he's full of energy again, like he should be ^^ In the end, it seems that it wasn't panleukopenia, but a very severe case of cat flu with unusual symptoms. Anyway, whatever it was, it looks like it's gone :) Also Tobi doesn't have FIP! However, as long as he's staying in our house, there is a chance that he'll be infected, so we hope to find a new home for him as fast as we can.

I'm so glad to hear this!! People have a lot of opinions about the fastest way to a man's or a woman's heart, but the fastest way to this woman's heart *points to self* is kittens.

Can someone follow the kittens in, or do you end up playing with the adorabkekittens and ignoring everything else? :P

Anyone who loves kittens has a place in my heart. :)

But seriously, most days of the week I spend 20-30 uninterrupted minutes around dinnertime cuddling my grandparents' only kitten, Happy (though they have 10 other adult cats). At this point, I'm his favorite person in the house by such a far margin it might be more accurate to call him my kitten. When I move out, I really hope I can find a place to live where having a cat is okay, because I want to take him with me.

I had Challah years ago and thought it was the most delicious thing ever. Haven't had it since, for a number of reasons, though I recently learned the Whole Foods near me sells it. I should pick some up next payday….

Nutella is FOOD OF THE GODS. That must be why it's more expensive than peanut butter (which comes in a close second IMO).

Ew :P

My dislike of Nutella pales in comparison to my hatred of peanut butter.

Makes me wonder passes for Ambrosia for the Kaymyth? (A thought which then makes me wonder if there's an equivalent word from Egyptian mythology...)

Chocolate mousse, probably. :D  (Not really.  The gods eat pretty much the same stuff we do.)

Think I'm going to have to go with Kaymyth here and say that chocolate mousse is much closer to Ambrosia than Nutella :)

Glad to know I'm not the only one in this whole wide world who would rather choose chocolate mousse than Nutella
