So I was thinking about it, and if they ever decided to work together, Reader, Backtrack, and Taylor Swift could produce a pretty good Koshei impression. Reader and Backtrack could provide background info, Backtrack could show Koshei to Taylor, then Taylor could shift and mimic his healing with her shape shifting. All they'd be missing is his ability to heal others. Too bad glamours illusions aren't higher resolution. Maybe stage makeup could be used somehow?

Not certain what purpose this would serve, or if it would ever work out, but it was a thought.

If Backtrack wasn't part of the equation, we could use it to make Backtrack's day even more miserable ;)

One problem with this plan and honestly it's something you couldn't know, right now Koschei is a cat.

Well. That would be a twist.

My one quibble is, why would Backtrack be necessary? Surely there are photographs of Koschei available somewhere... right?

No, they all got burned in a spiritual clensing. The only photo left is the one Frequency keeps in his personal altar. :P

And in his wallet, where he whispers sweet nothings to it when he thinks no one is looking? :P

Do you think he would ever leave his house without carrying his altar around? :P

Thinking of Timeport is a really easy way to help me punch better.

Well there's one good thing Timeport has done, right guys?

Right? Guys?

:P

If Backtrack isn't necessary...

Anybody want to make Backtrack's day even more miserable?

(If anyone was wondering why I was punching anything, I take martial arts. Took my yellow belt test today! (I passed))

Since I've never displayed fighting abilities beyond poking boisterous rams with sticks, I'll count you as the more badchull of the two of us. :P

*pitchman voice *

Are you tired of leaving your house, only to realize you have no way to burn blood-soaked incense to your dark god? Then you need the POCKET ALTAR! The POCKET ALTAR fits right in the pocket of your overcoat so you can be stylish AND devout! There's room for the incense and a picture of your god so you can whisper sweet nothings to him all day long!

The POCKET ALTAR! For when you just can't wait for the next cult ritual!

It's hard to fathom why you chose a career in information science, when the dark path of an occult salesman was clearly open to you. :P

Well, tecnically Backtrack could tell that said "Koschei" has never been in the Dalles before and must be a fake but then again, we are talking about Backtrack here. :P By the way, is Reader going next?

And only today we have the special offer to resurect your chosen prophet in the form of a domesticated feline. This is a limited sale only as long as our stock lasts, so buy quick or be a heathen forever!

Hmm...meeting Frequency is just what Paladin needs.

To bring out the absolute worst in him, that is. An Epic, fanatically devoted to the worship of another (dead) Epic? Definitely going to set the cult bells screaming in Paladin's mind.

Not that that's a bad thing, mind.

Fine by me. That'd give Freq and co a reason to leave without killing Deathwish.

Come on, Edge, Frequency keeps that in his inside suit pocket, close to his heart. Obviously. :P

I watched Warrior today. Does that count? :P

I'll just assume you could take me in a fight. I don't want to be that goon from the movies that always gets his butt kicked out of arrogance just to show how badchull the weak-looking protagonist is. :P

Also, guys. Did you know that there's a PMV for "Party X Party"? pinkiehappy.png

I have a brown belt in Shudokan, a style based on that practiced by the Samurai, but I had to quit when we moved and haven't been able to find another Shudokan dojo since then. #hipsterproblems

You are a wise man.

There's also one for  Death should not have takes thee. (I'm sure we can mock Lightwards with it. :P )

TwiLyght is, essentially, a samurai. I don't know why this surprises me. :P

(What kind of martial art is it? One that emphasizes fists, feet, a combination of the two...?)

I'm surprised you're surprised that you're surprised. I'll be doubly surprised if any of that previous sentence makes any sense. :P

(Both. It mostly emphasizes defensive moves. When we would spar with our fellow students, our sensei would always have us bow to each other, emphasizing that we weren't supposed to look at each other while we bowed as a sign of trust. It's a very ground-based style, with an additional emphasis on moves that allow you to escape an assailant.)

Surprisingly enough, I think I worked it out. :P

(Wow. Both you and Winter are very cool. :D (I'll try to remember not to pull anything funny with you two around.:P))

I've heard of Kenpo. My sensei spoke pretty highly of it, and he didn't speak highly of all styles. (He despised Ninjitsu. He thought it was a cowardly style teaching students to face opponents in ways that made the problem worse and built poor character.)

Didn't that martial art originate with ninjas? They were paid assassins, after all.

Right. And that's part of why he hated it so much. Samurai, he told us, had a code of honor that they upheld at all costs. Ninjas killed in the dead of night for whoever paid the most. He taught a lot of kids, and I think he felt teaching them to face down bullies like a paid assassin would have been the wrong lesson.
