Edge, I gave you an accidental down vote on that hilarious music video, so I found two other posts to up vote. I'm sure there's a way to remove down votes, but I couldn't find a way using my admin powers . No more phone upvoting for these thumbs! I forgive you. I've never been sure what to think about the ninja vs samurai debate. I mean, it's true that ninjas were assassins, but they were also one of the only communities in feudal Japan to have a halfway democratic society. It's also true that the samurai upheld a strict code of honor, but code of honor permitted for the random decapitation of peasants for looking at you the wrong way. There were a lot of shades of grey in medieval Japan, is what I'm saying. I know this because I once read it in a book. Out of curiosity, how far along in training does a brown belt indicate? Is it closer to the rookie or master end of the belt spectrum? Ninjas were also vegetarians. Umm, so there are significantly more people who have taken martial arts here than statistics would imply. I am in Kobold boat, never done any Because of real life circumstances I ended up with training in like 3~4 different martial arts, although for some of them it was only basic training. Statistically, most members of the RP could trounce me in a fight. Reader is most definitely deserving of his pantsing. Also, pretty soon I'd like to bring Backtrack back into the clinic's waiting room. His panic attack at seeing all these new Epics, Reader included, should be pretty satisfying in its own way. I can do that, even though I wanted to wait with that until I could combine it with the next Shiny Sparkle post. 1

It's an easy mistake the think the Epic Epidemic is Cosmere. 2

But it's listed under "Non-Cosmere Works" on his website, and every time he's asked it at a signing (most of which are transcripted) or in an AMA, Sanderson always says no. Either he's running the longest con in fantasy history, or he's telling the truth. 2

David apparently didn't watch the news, unless Steelheart's Rending did indeed activate a one-time Ninja Mode. He didn't know about the plants or glowing spray paint in Babilar. And he didn't know about the Rending. Keep that in mind as you watch this. 3
