Paragrin she/her Posted August 1, 2015 Posted August 1, 2015 No. It's a show commonly associated with that, though.
little wilson she/her Posted August 1, 2015 Posted August 1, 2015 Never seen it, but The Vampire Diaries?
WayneSpren he/him Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 Bad Descriptions is all about giving an accurate description of something (a movie, tv show, book, comic, et cetera) that is misleading, then seeing if anyone can figure out what you're referring to. If nobody figures it out within a couple of hours, start giving hints. If nobody has even come close to figuring it out within 24 hours, reveal the answer and let somebody else give it a go. The trick to making this game work is creating descriptions that are challenging, yet still solvable. Once you come up with a description, start thinking of hints. Remember, everything must be technically true. You can kind of fudge the meaning of some words, but once you know the answer it must all make sense. Example: An extra-terrestrial helps a human inventor to create a sentient robot. Hijinks ensue when they realize that the automaton is a sociopath. Haven't figured it out yet? Here's a hint: The robot has an intelligent insectoid as a traveling companion. Hint #2: When the robot finally begins to live by a moral code, the alien gives it a flesh body as a reward. Answer: Pinocchio! And here's the description to start us off: After a group of children are separated from their parents, they find a newborn child who wants to kill and eat them. I thought it was Ultron...
WayneSpren he/him Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 Every time someone says she hasn't read the Stormlight Archive, a spren dies. All too true...
RippleGylf she/her Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 A pair of sociopathic brothers manipulate someone into committing murder. It's Sherlock, isn't it? 2
Paragrin she/her Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 You've done your research, clearly. (Yes.)
RippleGylf she/her Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 I knew it! An established criminal mastermind, accompanied by his bodyguard, goes on a wild goose chase around the world to find a non-human lifeform. This lifeform allows them temporary access to a document dictating all of the laws of its kind. With this information, the criminal mastermind kidnaps a different, but similar, lifeform, whom he holds for ransom. 1

Claincy he/him Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 Ok, you got it. A group of criminals and outlaws on the run from the law make a series of major decisions that are ethically sound but of questionable wisdom...for the most part.
ThirdGen Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 A group of criminals and outlaws on the run from the law make a series of major decisions that are ethically sound but of questionable wisdom...for the most part. So many to choose from, but I most want to say... Blake's 7.
Pestis the Spider she/her Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 Guardians of the Galaxy, movie version? 1
Claincy he/him Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 So many to choose from, but I most want to say... Blake's 7. no, I haven't actually watched that. Guardians of the Galaxy, movie version? Good guess, but no.
Claincy he/him Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 Hint time: Tv show, and not an obscure one.
ThirdGen Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 A guy bums around for a few years with his friends.
Jo and the Bush all/any Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 A guy bums around for a few years with his friends. My life? 1
ThirdGen Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 (edited) I hope not. His friends exhibit heavy irresponsibility and occasional casual cruelty, and he loves it. Edit: Road trips and benzedrine feature heavily. Edited August 9, 2015 by ThirdGen
Curiosity he/him Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 Arrested Development? (Shot in the dark. I've never seen it.)
ThirdGen Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 It is not. It's a book. Quite famous. Lots of jazz.
