The Scottish play? Note that its been around five years since I had to study it, meaning I'v forgotten 90% of what happened. Macbeth?

I can neither confirm nor deny that it is a play, but you'll have to be more specific in your guess. I'll need a name. :)

The name was in white text - my older brother, who happens to be an actor, told me it was bad luck to mention it outside of rehearsals and asked me to at least put it in white text.

I'm shocked I missed that white text. Yes, that's correct. I knew that description was too easy. I'd hoped describing Macduff like that would throw some people off but apparently not.

Also, fun fact, in college/university, I was in a Shakespeare class, and we were put into groups and assigned a play. We had to film a short movie retelling a modern version of that play. My group was given Macbeth. Our short movie is on YouTube, and it's the most embarrassing thing ever. I'll probably regret this later, but here's the link. Who I am in that is for me and a few other very select people on this site to know, and hopefully no else to ever find out. :P

Around five years ago, I put together a fifteen minute video with the overall plotting of Macbeth using the Warcraft III map editor; then I accidentally dropped my laptop into a swimming pool. A mercy killing; I suspect that ten year old me was a less than perfect director. Hmm, what description to provide...

A mage-emperor assumes his imprisoned brother's identity for sixteen years, alienating everyone who knew either of them so as to not arouse suspicion.

I know the answer to this one, but I don't want to come up with a new one... :(

That didn't take long; your bad description? :P

Temporarily invisible boy falls in love with blind girl.

I'm completely stumped. This will take a bit longer than mine - I think I made mine too obvious.

Only if you've read that trilogy, which I have. Same for my description.

I'd suggest you re-phrase your description; I put it through google and found the answer.

Honestly, if I made it harder, no one would get it. It's such an obscure book. Beautiful, but obscure.

I coukd change it to something like: "Naked boy stalks blind girl at a library," which is an excellent bad description, but like I said, no one would get it.

So just say your answer, even though you cheated by using Google. :P

Things not seen!

Andrew Clements!

Yes. I guess more people have read that than I thought.

Would you have gotten it with the second description? That one was actually good bad.

Nope. Two different people.

In this world, a Grimm reaper wields a illegal Chainsaw.

Though I've never read it, I'm going to guess Discworld for some reason?

Whatever it is, I kind of want to read it now.

Not Discworld.

One of the criminals they fight is a mass murdering Holy man who wants to win at a curri cook off for the Queen of England.

The only show more likely than My Little Pony to make you say, "What? No, I'm not a pedophile, this is amazing."

This matches one scene of Phantom Tollbooth, but I don't think that's it.

Not the Phantom Tollbooth.

His trip is spurred by his mother finding his blues.

Edit: This is one I've wanted to do for a while.  Sorry if this is is a little out of the ordinary.
