.S.A.M.K.M Posted April 20, 2015 Posted April 20, 2015 imagine horseshoes that allow a horse to walk upon any surface, at any angle. sort of similar to the seven league boots of myth. 1
Elsecaller3414 she/her Posted April 20, 2015 Posted April 20, 2015 So, they could walk upside down or something if they could get up there? You would almost have to invent something to keep the rider from falling off, but that is an awesome idea!
.S.A.M.K.M Posted April 26, 2015 Posted April 26, 2015 I wonder if htere was a fabrial alternative to horses, something like a bike or car to transport men and goods.
Elsecaller3414 she/her Posted April 27, 2015 Posted April 27, 2015 (edited) Ooh! Or maybe go to Shadesmar, build a cart, go back to Roshar, gather your goods, go BACK to Shadesmar, then put all the beads in the cart. Okay, so not the most intelligent idea in the world, but hey, it was fun. Edited April 27, 2015 by Elsecaller3414 1
Atkion he/him Posted August 10, 2015 Author Posted August 10, 2015 Hmmm you may have a point about the beads though. What if you just took a sack into Shadesmar, filled it with the souls of some really heavy, bulky items you want moved, and presto! Just find the soul of what you are standing on, make it a reality of shifting beads in Shadesmar, and easy moving! 1
Alfa he/him Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 I'm not quite shure, but I think it would make sense, that a horse (especially an intelligent Ryshadium) will become something like a squire to a KR. Okay, it would look somehow disturbing to see a Knight Radiant ride into battle on a glowing Ryshadium, but... why not? 1
Ookla the Absent Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 How about instead of a horse, a chull? With a mounted shardbow? 3
Alfa he/him Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 A little bit slow, probably. But that will be the Rosharan analogue of tanks. 1
Atkion he/him Posted August 10, 2015 Author Posted August 10, 2015 Sending a virtually invincible army of tank-chulls at the Parshendi XD Maybe mount two or even three archers on top, since Chulls are so big? 2
Ookla the Absent Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 Does Roshar have catapults? We could probably even come up with some interesting chull-mounted fabrial weapons, if we really tried. 1
Alfa he/him Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 This sounds like a good (and fun) partner-project for Adolin and Navani. Tactical fabrials on chulls...Why not?
Elsecaller3414 she/her Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 Or, if Adolin takes Shallan's advice, they could breed Chasmfiends and do that. Much faster than chulls. 1
Alfa he/him Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 probably as secure as riding a highstorm... in a WW1 airplane...and a blind voidbringer as pilot
Atkion he/him Posted August 12, 2015 Author Posted August 12, 2015 But chasmfiends might be more trainable then one would think. How would we know, all everyone has been interested in doing in the past is killing them. Maybe they are more like an intelligent dog, who knows?
Alfa he/him Posted August 12, 2015 Posted August 12, 2015 A very, very dangerous dog through. Plus, there were some clues that chasmfiends were somehow related to voidbringers.
DreamEternal Posted August 12, 2015 Posted August 12, 2015 Were there? The only hints greatshells were involved in the battle are the purple blood in the Kalak chapter and wrong suppositions made by people who had never seem a thunderclast.
Atkion he/him Posted August 12, 2015 Author Posted August 12, 2015 I would like to see someone try to tame a whitespine. It would be hilarious to see them fail. (do you think it's possible? given that the tamer can stay alive long enough to do anything of course)
Elsecaller3414 she/her Posted August 16, 2015 Posted August 16, 2015 I think that would be rather gruesome. Eurgh. Don't want to be around to see them get gored.
Guest Posted August 16, 2015 Posted August 16, 2015 I would like to see someone try to tame a whitespine. It would be hilarious to see them fail. (do you think it's possible? given that the tamer can stay alive long enough to do anything of course) I would like to see someone fight a Whitespine and not Kaladin. Kaladin already got the chasmfiend, let someone else get the Whitespine They are supposed to be terrible and deadly: I wish to read more about them.
Atkion he/him Posted August 16, 2015 Author Posted August 16, 2015 Set Adolin against the Whitespine. xD
Guest Posted August 16, 2015 Posted August 16, 2015 Set Adolin against the Whitespine. xD It is what I have always wished to read Ever since he had a chapter entitled "Whitespine uncaged" with him comparing himself to one, I have been wanting to read a face off... We had powerless Kaladin against the chasmfiend. Let's have Adolin against the Whitespine without his Shards Should be interesting. In any advent, I so want to see a Whitespine in action and I am sure we are getting one, eventually.
Elsecaller3414 she/her Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 So, no Blade or Plate?! That's insane. Truthfully, if he wins, he should be Knighted.
Guest Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 So, no Blade or Plate?! That's insane. Truthfully, if he wins, he should be Knighted. Kaladin won against the chasmfiend with not much... I mean, the poor whitespine needs to stand a chance...
Juanaton he/him Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 Kaladin won against the chasmfiend with not much... I mean, the poor whitespine needs to stand a chance... So..."not much" means Shallan creating illusions to distract the chasmfiend and handing Kaladin a shardblade to kill the thing with...not sure I agree with that definition of not much. 1
DreamEternal Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 A chasmfiend could kill dozens of soldiers and toss shardbearers like ragdolls. Yeah, a Blade and some illusions are not much.
