TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted February 26, 2015 Author Posted February 26, 2015 I just realized that Chimera, Upgrade, and Timeport are responsible for the duck-billed platypus. Timeport did something decent after all.
Voidus Posted February 26, 2015 Posted February 26, 2015 I'm happy to retcon Chi's upper limit, he's not allied with any of the factions so it won't upset the power balance at all. Not exactly Oregon related, but this is the description of Banette, a Ghost-type pokemon. "Banette generates energy for laying strong curses by sticking pins into its own body. It is seen in dark alleys." It looks like this: http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Banette_(Pok%C3%A9mon) The DA has officially invaded the Pokemon Universe. Are we going to have to have another talk about giving away trade secrets? (We definitely need to adopt Banette as our resident mascot) 1
Voidus Posted February 26, 2015 Posted February 26, 2015 YES. Though technically I don't count as a denizen... I often forget that there is not two completely different Voidi (Voiduses?). Not one in Oregon and not a different one in Social Guilds. Is that silly of me? DA Voidus would be a bit embarrassed to admit that he spends so much time creating ponies So feel free to interpret it as my alter-ego. 1
Kobold King he/him Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 Are we going to have to have another talk about giving away trade secrets? Am I the only one who read this line as very, very ominous? 1
mail-mi he/him Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 I just realized that Chimera, Upgrade, and Timeport are responsible for the duck-billed platypus. Wait, how does Timeport factor into this equation...?
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted February 27, 2015 Author Posted February 27, 2015 Am I the only one who read this line as very, very ominous? Not nearly as ominous as the time Nighthound drove up to the McDonald's window and said "I'd like an order of fries and a Big Mac with cheese. Super Size me." 2
Kobold King he/him Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 Not nearly as ominous as the time Nighthound drove up to the McDonald's window and said "I'd like an order of fries and a Big Mac with cheese. TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted February 27, 2015 Author Posted February 27, 2015 Wait, how does Timeport factor into this equation...? Upgrade helped him travel far enough into the past to make it look like the platypus had been here for millions of years. 1
Kobold King he/him Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 (can I just go hide in a corner and not come out until all of the Epics on the And Then They Died list are dead? Also, get away from Babilar before it becomes Babilar?) If they all died, more would come. The ATTD list will never be empty for as long as there are Epics. I content myself with the knowledge that I live in small town Texas. Hopefully there won't be any Steelheart or Obliteration-level Epics arising in my neck of the woods. Or my neck of the sparse mesquite-dominated scrublands, rather. 2

No Epic would want to conquer a dry, hot region where the only plants for miles around are cacti and even most of the animals and insects want to kill you, just like no person in their right mind would want to live here, much less build a city that houses over a million families and retirees-- OH WAIT. 4
Sirce Luckwielder he/him Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 I'm really liking the Epics of Astoria so far. Lucentia can create freaking diamonds. Brightdeath can make light solid and kill people with it. Bloody Mary can see basically anything that goes on in the city. Winterspell owns the river and can turn it to ice basically instantly. The Metal is just simply put, a badchull. Blackwave is a pirate, and a scary one at that. Lightwrought owns the skies. The Adventurer has enough power to keep his illusion of life being a video game. The Destructors are taking an army through diamond walls. And then there is Lockvault, who can steal literally anything, who pays a cashier for food since he doesn't want people to know he is an Epic, then doesn't even get down the street before revealing he has powers. 3
Mailliw73 he/him Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 I don't know whether to be extremely disturbed....or if I secretly want to see this. You know we all want to see it... *creepy voice* Do it... do it... do it... you know you want too... I'm not sure you do, but then again, this is WHiO. I'm not sure I could even begin to describe the beast that would make. I'm happy to retcon Chi's upper limit, he's not allied with any of the factions so it won't upset the power balance at all. Cool! Just Edge left then. Yeah, he hasn't been a big player. He might get more involved as the war escalates, but it'll be fighting all the sides at once to try to keep the city alive. New Max post up.
Kobold King he/him Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 New Max post up. And it's incredimazible. Though I'm afraid we might have to vote Max as "Most Likely To Be Murdered By Epics For Upsetting The Status Quo" in the Oregon yearbook. 3

Though I'm afraid we might have to vote Max as "Most Likely To Be Murdered By Epics For Upsetting The Status Quo" in the Oregon yearbook. So long as Electro is voted "Most Likely to be Murdered by an Angry Vanilla who is Upsetting the Status Quo" alongside him. 3
Kobold King he/him Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 So long as Electro is voted "Most Likely to be Murdered by an Angry Vanilla who is Upsetting the Status Quo" alongside him. Can Sam be "Most Likely to Watch an Angry Vanilla Upset the Status Quo by Murdering an Epic while Eating a Bowl of Popcorn"? (Also, a typo I made while typing the above sentence leads me to believe we need an Epic named Status, so Status Quota shipping can be a thing. ) 4
mail-mi he/him Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 Yin Yang's intro post is up! Sorry for the poorer quality. It's late and I just wanted to write something quick tonight. 1

Though I'm afraid we might have to vote Max as "Most Likely To Be Murdered By Epics For Upsetting The Status Quo" in the Oregon yearbook. Thanks! Yeah...that's a huge possibility. It all depends on how he attacks. He is going to want to duel Electro and kill him while he looks him in the eyes, but he has to have his weakness to do that. The only other way is to get the drop on Electro and assassinate him, but even then, it'll be a bit difficult.
Edgedancer he/him Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 (edited) I don't recall saying that, but I guess I just forgot about that limit... Does anyone mind if we all just forget about and ignore that limit? Chi won't make anything else near as jumbled as these recent ones, so there's no worry that I'll just go combine every animal he has. It's right there in his power profile. Anyway, as long as he doesn't go creating monsters that make Koloss jealous I don't really mind. As Joe said, he buys animals from other people throughout the world. And I may have taken a bit of creative license with what animals the zoo began with. As I said, it's something no one really cares about. Well, he does keep his mind control pretty secret. I mean, people guess it, but he does allow others who buy his animals to have verbal control over them, so they assume his mind control isn't in effect anymore. He would trade a few rare Chimerans in exchange for more animals. I still retain the right to call everyone that buys animals from him without means to control them themselves an idiot. Probably doesn't help that him selling his animals is mostly tell and we haven't seen anyone that's actually influential (so I'm not counting Soulswitch) own them. I dunno, is Portland really stable enough to hold any major trade lines connected to one Epic? For example Corpsemaker could easily have stomped down Chi, if there was actually money in it. Well, characteristic traits don't cause a jumble like physical parts do. And while in bursts of extreme emotion like these last two posts, Chi is able to focus more on his creations. And his drawing of the animal before he does it for real helps him a lot. Yeah, I forgot I ever said that. How does that work? He would still need an animal to mix into there, so that's still a body that can jumble up the mix. Yin Yang's intro post is up! Sorry for the poorer quality. It's late and I just wanted to write something quick tonight. So how did he get transported at the end there? There's no Epic mentioned in the profiles connected to Pan that can teleport. Fatebreaker he/him Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 (edited) Are we going to have to have another talk about giving away trade secrets? Sorry, I got excited about Science again. Although not as interesting and open to interpretation some of Fatebreaker's Social Guilds posts are. Aw, thanks. I don't know what you mean... Edited February 27, 2015 by Fatebreaker 1

Edgedancer he/him Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 (edited) I thought it was in Pan's profile that new Epics who touched his shadow got transported to him. There was talk about that when he was first designed (I think by Kobold) but the power isn't in his "offical" profile and honestly that whole "shadow appears" deal wouldn't mesh well with our canon given all the new Epics we have, that did not see said shadow, even more so given that Fatebreaker himself has a child Epic that seems... let's say rather curious which would jar with that part even worse. By the way, Twi I'm still waiting for that clobbering time. Edited February 27, 2015 by Edgedancer
