Matrim Bloody Cauthon he/him Posted July 2, 2015 Posted July 2, 2015 (edited) I still have to wait one more week till I get to see my AP scores and I am dying of anticipation. also we need more jokes here. a man starts to feel sick so he goes to the doctor. the doctor comes back and says "I have some bad news." "What is it?" the man asks "you don't have very long left to live." "that's terrible. How long do I have?" "ten" "ten what? months, weeks, what?" "nine" forgive me of my dark humor. TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 Fettuccine alfredo is best food. I like it when it's mixed with Cajun spices and noodles like rotini or farfalle or other pasta you can stab with a fork. #hipster

+Slowswift Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 no come to mine There's free wifi and a full service snack bar. Oh, Salt Lake Library beats all. Though I don't actually live in SLC, it certainly has one of my favorite libraries ever.

Delightful Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 (edited) Oh, Salt Lake Library beats all. Though I don't actually live in SLC, it certainly has one of my favorite libraries ever. woooow. Hmmm, let me think... 1) It's quiet. Quieter than you think it'll be, unless you have terrible neighbors. 2) Shared laundry facilities are awful. Hoard all your quarters. Start now. 3) You won't have to clean up any messes that aren't yours. The flip side of this is whenever you are sighing over a mess that needs to be cleaned up, you'll know that you have only yourself to blame. So much this. And you can't just ask someone to grab you whatever from the other room, even/especially when you're sick. It can be lonely. If you come home exhausted you'll still need to make dinner for yourself, and I don't know what you're like in the kitchen but it's easy to just be lazy and eat nothing but cereal You also don't have to justify what you're doing to anyone, or live by rules you disagree with, or have to watch MLP quietly in case someone walks in, which is awesome. Delightful Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 (edited) Okay but how do you actually find anything? Imagine the book you want is near the bottom of those arches.... Avalanche!! Edited July 3, 2015 by Delightful
Kestrel she/her Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 Yeah, that would be what I would do. So one of my friends and I are doing a trade. She's gonna read Mistborn if I watch Dragon Ball. An 80s anime. I'm about 7 episodes in, don't understand a thing about this (those people didn't do a lick of worldbuilding nothing makes sense) and I'm still trying to decide if its a kid's show or not. 1

It's meant for people around 12-14 years old. It's one of my favorite shows. I recently started watching it for the second time when a new series was announced. If you make it far enough, I recommend skipping Dragonball GT. It was mostly made by different people, and wasn't nearly as good. The new series is basically pretending it never happened. Why don't you think the worldbuilding is good? Hope you enjoy watching it. Edited July 3, 2015 by KamorianKandra
Kestrel she/her Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 I think she warned me about that. I'll keep that in mind. The world is... really random. I don't think I need to elaborate on that. I was like.. that. That is a sabertooth. And theres a talking turtle. And. A shapeshifting talking pig. Okay. Okay. And what is that cat thing? That apparently also shapeshifts? It hops. I like it. But I am enjoying the plot thus far.

Tenchi is just as inexplicable; there's an adorable half-cat, half-rabbit beastie named Ryo-Okhi who is also somehow a spaceship. Yes, she's a spaceship. Don't ask me how or why.
RandomRevival he/him Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 I feel like they could have exploited the story better than they did in so many ways and in SO many fracking episodes. But, you know, whatever, One Piece for the win!
DanTheSeamonster he/him Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 Bleach and Fullmetal Alchemist are my favorite anime. Cuz you know, #mainstream. That being said I have a lot more of an indie taste in books.

Quiver he/him Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 ...So, is anyone else going to watch the new Dragonball anime launching this weekend? 1

I used to watch Bleach. The first arc was good, if I remember, but it got really dull after that. I kinda stopped. FMA was really good though.I watched Sword Art Online recently. The first season only, but it was very good.
