Kestrel she/her Posted May 31, 2015 Posted May 31, 2015 Just a zucchini. Everything below -100 is Zucchini.disappointment.I've noticed that downvotes are usually out of spite/over silly things anyway. I don't really pay attention. Tbh I could become a zucchini and I'd shrug and go along with life. I was shocked when my rep got above my post count, though. Actually I'm shocked at how many posts I've made since I joined. Which was like.. one month ago.

Kestrel she/her Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 My hero. I want to go downstairs to get food. But is it really worth it

Kestrel she/her Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 That is true. Maybe if I go quick enough, no parent will see me and try to drag me into a conversation.
+Slowswift Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 (edited) Am I the only one who wants to know more about Tarah, Kaladin's apparent old girlfriend? I can't be the only one. Edited June 1, 2015 by Slowswift 1
Kestrel she/her Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 I I did not succeed. I ran into my mom and dad and got chewed out because of my spanish grade
Kaymyth she/her Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 (edited) I come tonight bearing a tradition. It once haunted the boards of fandom past, and now tonight, I bequeath it upon a new generation. I bring you the tradition of Things That Are True. It fits the Random thread rather well, I think. It is a list of things that, as the title would suggest, the author finds to be true. Sort of a cross-section of the things that might be going on their life. Today's Things That Are True: 1) I finally saw Avengers: Age of Ultron tonight. 2) It was good. (Yay!) 3) I came home to uncover what was likely an unusually large brown recluse and two tiny house centipedes lurking in my domain (Boo!) 3a) My brave husband dispatched them for me. I once again rest easy. 4) I wrote a couple thousand words today. 5) I have at last managed to progress my identity from "I am writing a thing" to "I am a writer". You wouldn't think that to find a big difference between those things, but it is a surprisingly large gap to bridge. 5a) I blame/credit 17th Sharders for spurring this identity progression. I've only posted a couple of little writing blurbs, and yet I already have people asking me for more. That's the sort of thing that can swell a girl's head, you now. 6) Our mild winter has led to the creation of a bumper crop of bunnies and squirrels in our neighborhood. This fills our dachshund with great joy. 7) Our dachshund fills the local fauna with great trepidation. Edited June 1, 2015 by Kaymyth 4

Kobold King he/him Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 Why is it so hard to make friends? Like not just real life, I can't click "add member as friend" without some measure of anxiety. Whyeee. Oh, I used to feel the same way. I remember the first time I added a member as my friend... it was Observer, after we started getting along swimmingly on the Zombie Apocalypse: Investiture Edition thread on General Brandon Discussion. I was exceedingly, absurdly nervous. Of course, nowadays I've friended just about everyone I've talked to, and if I haven't friended someone, it's usually because I was too busy having a fun time chatting with them to notice I'd forgotten. The 17th Shard is a social recluse's paradise.
Kestrel she/her Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 Same though "Should I really add this person?" 1
Guest Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 Oh, oops. I thought we were just talking about RL. Here, I just click the button. Think of what your reaction is when someone friends you and apply that to the other person.

Guest Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 A hah, but they are born on a holday--just a holiday outside their country Ah. I see. It all makes perfect sense to me now.
Delightful Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 What if they're born in a non-Christmas-celebrating country? Does that count? And to go back to Lark and getting food; "I hate it when I walk into the kitchen looking for food and all I can find is ingredients"
Kobold King he/him Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 Note to self and the community at large. If a woman shows you her new red shoes, the correct response is not "Nice! Squish any wicked witches lately?" Just thought I'd share my hard-earned wisdom with you folks. 5

If you can find some chamomile tea, drink a cup or two. It'll help relax you and get rid of the jitters. If not, try drinking a few glasses of water to flush the coffee out of your system. 1

Or run around in circles in a big empty field until you literally collapse, laying in the dust for a while as goats and chickens come to sniff at you and vultures swoop low to see if you've expired. It worked for me! 4

It worked for me! Drink...drink some water before you try that. Coffee dehydrates you, and I can't imagine running around a big empty field would help matters. 2
