What the what is Nightblood? A self aware sword that destroys souls, connections, objects, and Investiture alike? How? It acts like anti light in a way, but is powered by normal light ...what? And what is that business about it feeding off souls when it has no Stormlight - how does it do that? Also, who created Nightblood??? Was it a shard? Dawnshard? Super strong spren? Adonalsium himself? SOMETHING ELSE ENTIRELY???

As @alder24 said, Warbreaker includes information on Nightblood's Origins (as well as two other characters seen on Roshar during Stormlight Archive)

Hope that helps

Little known fact (outside this fandom): Warbreaker was written as a prequel to the Stormlight Archive.

Also something @Deception might want to know: you can read it free. Check out Brandon's web site.
