"And I both your shadow and your loyal knight, prepared to follow your designs! Perhaps I should seek a sword!" She reached into a pocket, and handed Tims something small and white. A bird's skull, delicate, bleached. Threaded on a slender chain. "Wear this, young one, and I will know where you are this night." Tims snatched up the bird’s skull and ran off into a corner to work her magic. Too few people saw the potential for new yo-yo’s, but she did. K yanked off the chain and eased the skull into fine wooden napkin ring she’d found earlier in her explorations. Binding the two together with some wire, she completed her project with a spare string. Now she had a souvenir from this cursed adventure. If only they could get out of this foreboding House…

So here’s what the holder of the smoking gun could have done for their action 1) fire their gun, in which case they must claim to be lost. Whoever they should’ve followed won’t receive a notification. Here the possibilities are that they a) kill whomever another suspect is following, meaning at least 2 people (the holder and the other suspect) will have unconfirmed actions. b) kill the player they are supposed to be following, to prevent lack of confirmed action from getting out. c) kill an unrelated player for undetermined reasons (like knowing who the gun holder is) 2) not fire, and therefore die. In this case, the gun is randomly distributed and we start over with solving. This could imply that they are the hero Note that the ‘following’ plan can still work on future nights with a larger group of people when anyone could have the gun; it’s just harder to coordinate who’s following who. Also I still suspect Doc of having the gun right now. He was kind of hesitant about the plan in thread and our PM, despite knowing that we can hold players accountable for their night actions when they follow someone.

So our options are: 1) Gunner shot Mint 2) Mint had gun and didn't use it Option 1 would honestly be more ideal because it narrows down our suspects. If it's 2 the gun can now be with anyone. For my part I got confirmation that I followed Miss Fallen - she explored upstairs n0. 1

Anyone have reason to believe one over the other? Also, still verify if you were followed, that can help eliminate potential elims.

Harley holds the pair of ugly brown socks in one hand, the elaborate puzzle box that had concealed them in the other. It’s like the house is deliberately trying to frustrate him. Who hides a puzzle box behind a painting and then puts socks inside? Suddenly, he hears subtle footsteps behind him, turns around- and sees the anti-magic conspiracy theorist spying on him around the corner. “Hello?” he says, before a shot is fired and Luminair slumps dead to the floor. Harley curses, dropping the socks and puzzle box while someone runs away. He dashes out into the hallway, but can’t see the killer’s face as they round a corner out of sight. Harley is a lousy detective.

Doesn't discount the possibility of Mint having the gun and choosing not to fire it, but it's interesting. The real mystery right now is who roleblocked Star? Why try and mess with the follow action when we needed to try and clear the suspects ?

This was an easy way for me to clear my name! now im not sure how to prove I don’t have the gun! though I guess the roleblock is proof of itself- if I did have the gun and got roleblocked I would have died

Miss Fallen she/her Posted April 25 Posted April 25 K. Tims was meandering the corridors of the House, a new boot in one hand and yo-yo in the other. The boot wouldn’t fit either foot, but it was a fine shoe regardless. It deserved better than a makeshift planter. She thought it should go in the hall they had first entered, it would find friends there. Suddenly a shot rang through the House, bringing Tims to a halt. She sighed, knowing another had died. K resumed walking, bird skull yo-yo in hand, and heard the patter of footsteps far off behind her. That would be Verna; K half expected to hear poetry pronouncing the gravity of this latest turn of events.
